Quail Valley Golf Course — Local services in Germany Township

Lived in Gettysburg for 35 years. I will never again play this course on a weekend. Many bad experiences. They stack the tee times at 8 minute intervals, which is reasonable. However, it plays at about 18 minutes per hole. You do the math, that is 10 minutes per hole sitting and waiting.

To make matters worse, when I arrived, I was told to just grab cart and join my party. I did, and was promptly yelled at by a Marshall that I was in a Marshall's cart. I asked him how would I know as it was not marked in any fashion as a Marshall's cart? He said it was grey and all the others were beige. Ok. My bad. No signs, no indication. Just give me a beige one . The ONE great sign was that there were Marshall's that could help keep pace of play!

Sigh. That was the last time I would see the hot dog eating Marshall all day. It was 9 am. I was in a 3 some. Perfectly capable of playing at about a 5 minute pace. By hole 2, a par 3, we were stacked 3 groups....uggh

To make matters worse, if a 5 and a half hour round can get worse, they have no beverage service on the course. No... just sit, and sit, and sit...and wait. No Marshall coming around, no cart girls coming around. Just sit ...and sit....and sit some more.

There are 10 courses in the area. Every one of them cheaper than Quail Valley. Some of them have cart service. Some he have active and engaged Marshall's.

All of them will be my future choice on...

On Thursday, October 14, 2021 I witnessed a confrontation between the young lady behind the counter and a paying customer. He merely stated that he wished she had mentioned that the greens were freshly aerated when he phoned for our tee times. She said no course ever volunteers that info unless asked and he told her that was not true. She immediately escalated to the point of inviting him to take his money back and “get off my golf course and drive your 50 miles home”. (This week the same man called another course for tee times this week and the first thing they told him was that the greens were just aerated!) When I approached to pay I told her I was neutral in their dispute, but that she was coming across very poorly. Her reply was that I was not neutral then. I’m a 73 year old, and have never seen anyone in any business make such an effort to chase away paying customers. The starter outside apologized for her behavior and was quite friendly, but I certainly hope to never cross...

Course was very nice! Staff was par at best. Had 11:00 tee time on Friday 10/17/25 was told half hour late due to frost. No starter to manage tee times so every one was butting in line total confusion to who was next on tee box. Our group was scheduled for 18 holes took over 3 hours to play nine holes. Went to club house after 9 and ask for 9 hole rain check which they did allow. No apology from staff at register no conversation no personality won’t be back! Would definitely not recommend only because the way guest...
