Overall experience:
I've been to Piedmont Dragway several times, both as a spectator and as a photographer, and I've always had a great experience. The track is well-maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. There's always something going on, whether it's a drag race, a drifting event, or a test-and-tune. And the photo opportunities are amazing.
I recently had the opportunity to photograph a drifting event at Piedmont Dragway, and it was one of the most exciting things I've ever seen. The drivers were incredibly skilled, and the cars were flying around the track at incredible speeds. It was like something out of a movie.
If you're a fan of motorsports, or if you just enjoy a good adrenaline rush, I highly recommend checking out Piedmont Dragway. You won't be disappointed.
Specific details:
The track is an eighth-mile long, which is perfect for both drag racing and drifting. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, with plenty of parking and restrooms. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they're always happy to help. There's always something going on at the track, so you're sure to find an event that interests you. The photo opportunities are amazing. You can get up close and personal with the cars and the drivers, and you can capture some truly stunning images.
Overall, I would highly recommend Piedmont Dragway to anyone who enjoys motorsports. It's a great place to see some exciting racing, and it's also a great place to take some...
Read moreI am not one to usually leave reviews but this is gotten out of hand. The drag strip is behind my house and is very disturbing to me and my family. We are bothered by it on the weekends when we are trying to have peace and quiet. It is literally in my back yard and shakes my entire house. The music is overly loud to the point where I can hear the exact words to the song. I can’t even go out of my house it is so bad. My dog is bothered so much by the music and the vibrations. I have nothing against this place but it needs to be way off the road and on more land, so it doesn’t bother the people that live near it and want there silence. It may not mean much to you guys, but when we have family over or trying to sleep or study it is a huge distraction and causes a major disruption to all of us. Please play your music quieter so others cannot hear it from their...
Read moreBeen going there for a while. Knew the former owner well and was there for every Big Dog race and multiple test & tunes, that my husband and I liked to run the mustangs. She loves to go for Big Dogs but also has been at the track since she was 4 months old and she has been quite spoiled. (Thanks Roy Hill&Mark, & many others) Looking forward to this year. She has mentioned Jr dragsters. Daddy has to be wiling to give up some of his toys for her to do so. So, with that said it is also a family friendly environment. Just bring the...
