Walmart — Local services in Giddings

This Walmart location is small and only sells some soft drinks, juices, snacky type food and I've cream. However it's pretty clean, very organized the employees I encountered were polite & friendly. I'd like to give a special recognition to Patsy's she was extremely sweet, very personable not afraid to have a brief conservation with you (she's funny to) I love the fact the she made eye contact while speaking with me instead of looking around as if she were bothered like many employees tend to do (@ the Bastrop location mostly). I actually was there Monday early evening and had to go back today just to get her name because I haven't had such a pleasant and helpful shopping experience in I don't know how long. I also observed that she went out of her way to make sure her customers found what they were looking for and hold the phone... she actually walked with them instead of pointing which way they need to go. When I asked her for her name this evening I went on to thank her and expressed how I was going to post a review mentioning her excellent customer service she then said oh and my managers name is Rod, which I found a little funny cuz he never helped me and I never even saw him lol that's just how sweet this woman was she wanted to make sure even her manager got credit for something I'm not quite sure what he did, for me personally he didn't do anything. Maybe he taught her how to have such excellent customer service skills. But just because she asked me to mention him as well I am doing so. I recommend the Giddings location and the shelves are always stocked the store is easy to navigate and it's pretty quick in and out I found everything that I needed. The older, heavy set white female service desk always has an attitude. I was just there and asked if my curbside was almost ready. She called and asked is it ready, I replied is it almost. She hung up and said it’s not ready. Guess what? The second I pull up to home, alert your curbside is ready. This is why I asked. If she had asked is it almost ready like I asked, she would have gotten a proper response. I knew it was probably almost ready. I would have hung out the extra 5 minutes to wait. She won’t make eye contact. She continues to look / talk at other employees while suppose to be serving customers.

The pharmacy staff is always incredible. Always a smile when greetings customers. The ladies / gents whom bring curbside out, also incredible. Some of the most kindest souls. Even in 100 degree weather they still smile. I appreciate them immensely. It’s just that one lady who seems absolutely miserable everytime someone walks up, as if she...

This walmart is rinky dink, with too much clothing & not enough food. No deli, no chicken or baked goods, no cakes or pies, no vegetables. They must have a high theft issue, I felt very uneasy from the moment I walked in till I left the store, being watched like a hawk by seemingly all of the employees. I would suggest that the isles are situated incorrectly needing a better plan-o-gram to allow better line of sight, and that if they are having issues with inventory control, they need to look to their own employees not a random customer who was there traveling through for one day.
