We inquired about a specific dog twice by email. The second email was not answered. My husband works out of town, so on Saturday we took our current dogs to meet this new dog to see how they'd do. We were told she had rescue commitment but we could still fill out an application. "If you don't hear back from us, call tomorrow." Didn't hear back, so I called twice on Sunday, leaving a message the first time. Was told the dog was picked up at 8 am by a rescue in Michigan. Firstly, at the very least, the second email could have been responded to with "this dog is no longer available." To be really decent, it could have been responded to with "we have interest from a rescue - are you still interested? Please let us know by such-and-such time." Secondly, if you are running a reputable operation, as soon as there was commitment for this dog, her photo should have been removed from the available dogs listing. Read moreThe team of volunteers are beyond loving, caring, and go above and beyond to save a dog. In my opinion, they are angels. I've been a recipient of everything I mentioned above. When my Shepherd got out of my yard in October 2022, the warden was always a call away if I needed anything. She even brought her live trap to a location in hopes of getting my furbaby. He was later found by me and brought home. Then, just recently, my rescued pitbull (puppy) got out of our yard, under the fence, went to a woman who brought him to our dog shelter, where they took him and immediately took a picture of him and posted it, that's how we got him back. When picking up our pup, the wonderful volunteer talked to us about her job, dogs, and a bunch of other topics. While she spoke with us, she would continually give our pup treats and love all over him. These people, at our dog shelter, are such a gift to our county, and I feel blessed that...
Read moreI found my perfect little dog. They did everything they could to get her to me the next day. She helps me with my depression. I renamed her though her name was Taffy. It's now lily rose! Thank you! I would highly recommend adopting a pet. She has brought so much joy to my life. I I am a spinal cancer survivor and there's nothing like my little Lilly to keep my spirits High. When I saw her before I even got into the little room I already knew she was meant for me. She is doing so well now and she knows that she is loved. So thank you for giving me my gift of Lily she is the most important...
