Bought 1 bushel of green beans at mason farms in Girard today. Paid $20. Worker said that they were picked Saturday and they were kept refrigerated. Didn't get a look at them before he dumped them in a large plastic bag. When I got home about a hour later and got them out of the bag to snip, I was very upset. Not only were the beans very overripe, but many of them were rotted at the ends. Tasted a few of them and they were strong tasting, not at all like a green string bean should taste.
