The Wigwam General Store is a country store and restaurant that is located at the intersection of US 31-E and Kentucky 218 at the Historic Wigwam Village #1 Built in 1935. The store has a rustic country appearance mainly because of the wooden floor porch that goes down two sides of the building. The inside of the store is split with the store items on the left side and the restaurant on the right side. I had breakfast with 2 biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and sausage. The breakfast was good the service was quick and professional. The cost was just a little over 7 dollars and with a large drink I believe that was very reasonable with today’s prices. Read moreOh my goodness we loved this place. The food was so delicious and reasonably priced. My boyfriend wanted a fried bolonga sandwich before we left Kentucky. He absolutely loved it. He said that it was exceptional and down home country. The ladies who run this place are amazing and good people. If more people were like this in our country, we wouldn't have the problems we have today. So very friendly. If we lived close by we would be regulars, but would still consider doing the 2500 mile trip to come again. They made us feel so welcome. We would much rather eat here than in a five star restaurant.
