I took a group of 6 teenage boys axe throwing for a 16th birthday outing and had a total blast. None of us had ever done it before which was exciting. It also leveled the playing field... a kid nobody expected to be the best thrower...was the best thrower. Our host was a super cool young guy. He was exceedingly polite and kind. After about 50 minutes of our session when interest was perhaps beginning to wane....he brought over a selection of different, unique axes for the guys to try throwing. They liked the new challenge. With about 20 minutes left he did it again. He busted out some Chinese stars - perhaps the guys favorite. The adult throwers weren’t rowdy / ie, though it is BYOB it wasn’t a bar environment per se.I bought a Groupon which saved me a bunch of $. All in all great fun thing to do with a group. ...

Such a blast! Have to admit, when my friends first invited me to BYOB axe throwing, it sounded more dangerous than fun...I was wrong. When you walk in you are greated with the smell of fresh-cut wood and a cozy atmosphere. The instructors are clear on different throwing methods and safety. You have different games you can play and keep score, or if you aren't good enough for a game (like us) you can just take turns throwing. The owner was watching us throw and saw as my boyfriend took a huge chunk from the board, only to heckle him about it and say good job! Looking forward to planning a work event...

Fun night at Glen Carbon, IL location with 12- 15-17 year old boys and girls. Most chatted in car when we left that it was cool and they would do it again or wanted to do it again. Perfect that we were able to be able to be quite separated from a large group of older guys that were drinking adult beverages and having guy fun, for their sake. Relaxed, clean, contemporary, pleasing atmosphere and plenty of room for spectators who aren't throwing in the area we were.
