Absolutely unprofessional employee! My friend and I showed up to do a round of clay shooting and the employee we interacted with was terrible. I have extensive experience clay shooting at other ranges over several years in multiple states. The employee asked us a series of questions, some of which weren't even pertinent to shooting, to determine if he "felt comfortable" letting us shoot. Additionally, the employee kept interrupting us as we tried to answer his confusing and poorly worded questions. Our answers to these arbitrary questions did not satisfy this employee's "assessment" of our ability to shoot a shotgun safely. Only after listening to this opinionated employee for several minutes did he tell us we need to take a safety class before shooting. Why was that not the first question out of his mouth?!?! Why would he drag us through these dumb questions if none of it mattered? Like I said, I have been to many firearm ranges and never have I been given the run around like this for no reason. The questions he asked were irrelevant if this particular range's policy is in fact requiring their safety class before shooting. I can't think of a good reason why we were treated this way. Maybe he just didn't like the way we looked? I would like to come back in the future to take this class and eventually shoot, but I really hope the rest of the staff will be more personable and straight forward than the rude individual we interacted with. I would have given one star off of this single interaction, but I recognize the employee could have been having a really bad and decided to take it out on my friend and I. More importantly, I was able to vent some of my frustration by petting two sweet elderly dogs walking around...

Have shot skeet here many times over the past couple years. Typically has 2 or 3 skeet fields open, the wobble stand, and 1 field for trap. They have a sporting clay field; however, I have not tried that out. Prices are fairly decent, and I think it is a better facility compared to Bull Run.

Did have a bad experience this past weekend trying to shoot skeet - There was a large group (5-7 people, 5-6 shooters), who essentially called dibs on 1 of 2 skeet fields. After watching them shoot 2 games of skeet, we attempted to change out with them for our two rounds (there were 2 other people waiting as well). However, they did not want to give up the field. When one of the workers came by for our tickets, he said that the group came there often, and he did not do anything to enforce the "2 games while people are waiting" rule. They were "nice" enough to let us shoot one game while they encroached on the field as we shot (the two other people walked to wait at the other field). We shot one game, and they immediately walked onto the field after we shot at station 8.

We ended up going to the other open field and waiting a bit for that one to open up. After shooting 2 games on the other field, we walked back only to see that large group still shooting (this was almost 1.5-2 hours after we arrived). Moral of the story? Be prepared to wait if you aren't a frequent shooter here. Everyone else we meet are usually great about letting other shooters in with them and maintaining the...

Was excited to bring my friend to this place as I have been coming here randomly for the last 20 years. We were getting the looks from the assistant manager Coda as soon as we walked in, im assuming because we were the only afro Americans in there at the time. She told us that my friend would have to watch from the gate because this was his first time shooting trap at THIS RANGE. I have brought many friends here and the staff have always been helpful in showing us tips and tricks on how to get better. This lady was judging and threw a safty book at us and used all type of abbreviations even I didn't know about to try to avoid letting us shoot. A customer said "I bring friends here all the time and he just helps them and let them shoot first" and she got upset at him too. He told me out side that he has been going there for years also and has never seen anyone get put through an on the spot public interrogation just to shoot.I even asked if one of the staff can come out with us just to observe and he said no. This is my first time experiencing this type of judgment here and it its sad that one I counter can ruin years of great...

Despiste the brisk, overcast day, the safety/intro class instructor, "Grumpy" Bill πŸ˜…, was a veritable repository of information on the skills required to enjoy the sport safely. His instructions were so clear and tactful that I winged a clay on my 4th ever attempt. The only disappointment is that my "tactical" GF25 shotgun's barrel length of 18.5" and its pistol grip disqualified it from being used at the club. That aside, guns can be rented and ammo purchased and they're rather affordable. Altogether, a highly recommended, and fun pastime.

I have usually had a great experience at the PG County Trap & Skeet, but this past fall we had a terrible interaction with an employee. He was rude, unhelpful, and made us feel completely uncomfortable for being there. It is unfortunate when you go to a place that is usually helpful and interact with an employee like that. We still had fun shooting trap and enjoyed the brisk November day.

It's a public trap shooting park. Very reasonable prices and well set up. A variety of high to low with crossing and to/fro electric launchers. There's even a rabbit throw. Stands are spread out the park and all are paved with golf carts available.
