We had an incredible experience with Willamette Valley Wine Tours, and I can’t recommend them highly enough! From the very beginning, working with Paul made everything seamless. He was extremely accommodating in helping us set up a tour for a larger group of 19 people and arranged two comfortable buses to make it all happen smoothly.
Our day included visits to Domaine Willamette and Benza Vineyards, and both offered something unique and memorable. Domaine Willamette was elegant and picturesque, with stunning views and exceptional sparkling wines—a true luxury experience. In contrast, Benza offered a more intimate and rustic vibe, with incredible Pinot Noirs and a peaceful, private atmosphere that made it feel like a hidden gem.
Our tour guides, Alex and Travis, were outstanding. Not only did they ensure we got to each location safely and on time, but they also added so much value with their knowledge and passion for the region. Alex gave us a fantastic breakdown of the Willamette Valley, explaining the different terroirs and why the region supports such a wide variety of wines. Their insights really enriched the entire experience.
On top of that, Alex went above and beyond—after the tour, a few personal items were accidentally left behind on one of the buses. Despite rush hour traffic, he made the effort to return everything to us personally, with help from Travis, who also helped coordinate the return. That level of care and customer service truly set the experience apart.
The whole day was incredibly well-organized, and our entire group had a blast. If you’re looking for a personalized and enjoyable wine tour through one of the best wine regions in the country, look no further than Willamette...
Read moreBased on our past experiences of tours throughout our travels, my husband and I would not describe this as a tour. We got a driver and a van. Our driver did not seem to know much about Oregon. There were no facts or figures shared during the drive. For example, there was a burn scar from a past fire. We are use to drivers telling us about when the fire took place, how big the fire was and how long in burned, etc. Or as we get closer to a waterfall the history of the waterfall. Our driver was a nice guy but certainly was not engaging. We all arrived home safe and sound. The restaurant Riverside had really good food but the service was extremely slow and they were not busy. I would suggest that they skip the restaurant stop and proceed to Stave n Stone so the guests can eat there along with their one wine tasting. That may allow for additional time to stop at another winery. Stave n Stone was a great winery, by the way. This package includes one...
Read moreWe took this wine tour anticipating seeing amazing local wineries and learning about the area. It was very disappointing. The driver was just a driver and knew very little about wines or the different regions. We showed up at the wineries and they didn’t even have the correct number of people booked for our party. We found this tour on Viator and it was described as a pizza and wine pairing tour which we found out after booking when the owner called us that likely it wouldn’t include pizza but sandwiches or another local spot with potentially a picnic if the weather was nice. It seemed like the owner did not communicate any of this with our driver and we showed up to a tasting that had no lunch and she improvised and brought back sandwiches. Check out backcountry tours instead if you are looking for something unique with a guide who knows wine and will take you to the best spots! We are so glad we did...
