4L RV AND CABINS — Local services in Gonzales

This is a very nice, well maintained RV park on the eastern edge of Gonzales. The on-site laundry facility is reasonably priced and the machines are clean and in working order. The restrooms and showers were extremely clean. Propane is sold on site and is very reasonably priced. The on-site staff are friendly, professional and helpful. The park does have a swimming pool that appeared to be very clean (it was January, so we did not use the pool). The wi-fi was excellent and the free cable TV was an added bonus. Because of the reasonably close proximity to San Antonio, additional TV channels are available with an antenna. I think this park may have been designed to attract people who are working temporarily in the area. It is located on a very busy highway, which makes for an extremely easy commute to work, but it is definitely not a quiet setting. If you are traveling with dogs, there's very little space available to walk your pets, BUT, the town of Gonzales has a number of very nice parks. Our dogs enjoyed getting to to to the parks to play and walk. I would definitely stay at this park again if...

Worst RV park we've stayed at. Very prejudice against certain kinds of dogs. We have a great dane/pit bull mix and they were very unkind to him and told us we weren't allowed to have them there. Not to mention the dog Lucy that one of the staff members has. Several times I witnessed her trying to attack another dog. Was walking a friends dog while they were at work and Lucy (the owners dog) jumped on him and tried to attack him. They did nothing about it and denied it everytime, I am not the only one who has witnessed that dog being aggressive. Very rude staff and very stuck up. We will never...

Our friends called and reserved two spaces, for us and them. No staff on the weekends, had to pay for the spaces in cash. That is not my real gripe, the gripe is that we asked for the wifi password and was told they couldn't give over the phone. Although it is on the website that there is wifi. When we asked why we were not given it before, office staff on call said "I figured you didn't need it". Don't advertise something is available if you don't intend for customers to use it. I have stayed in many RV parks before and this was less than enjoyable. Little to no hot water in the showers. ...
