This happened back around 2009-2011. I was travelling westbound on I-70, it was time to swap drivers. I ran into the rest area to brush my teeth, wash my face and get ready for my night shift of driving.
Suddenly, I broke out in a cold sweat, my stomach began to cramp, and I became violently nauseated.
I felt in entity hovering in the corner, and I felt like it was reaching out to me to force me to acknowledge it. I began a simple mantra, because I have never encountered something like this before.
I finished my business and got out of there just repeating my mantra. As soon as I was outside all the odd symptoms began to dissipate.
It just caught me so unaware that it has stuck with me this long.
It definitely spooked me enough to never stop there again.
So I'm wondering if an unfortunate death occurred there?

   Read moreBe careful where you walk your dog because a sign saying "Please keep pets off the lawn," is approximately 10 ft in front of another sign saying "Pet exercise area." The pet exercise area shares the same area as the shoulder acting as a feeder back onto the freeway. Not a huge fan because everywhere else people get to relax, but my couped up dog has to be on the lookout for cars.
