Goose Creek Community Center — Local services in Goose Creek

Ive felt this was a 5/5 star gym experience. For years the price was good. The people were friendly. I mean my taxes help support it but still the price is good. The last year they have taped up the water fountains. And blocked off the climbing wall. And some of the work out machines are aging. Now getting water is $2.75. I love the coffee that is $1. Today I just drank the coffee instead of water. Usually I get home feeling like im dying but its fine Im happy. Working out makes me happy.

I got the idea today to ask them up front if they would consider getting water bottle refill stations. I guess they thought I wanted to argue with them? They in few words said they already had them and directed me towards the water fountains that didnt have tape over the mouth pieces.

I didnt try to talk to them any more since they didnt care to talk to me. Still I wished them a nice day as I left. The person I asked about water refill stations to said nothing as I left. Im assuming they are tired of tons of people complaining about warm water at the ⚠️ covid warning⚠️ taped up water fountains

You're getting what you pay for with this community gym. The equipment is standard. There's a good variety but only one each. Finding the right time to work out can be a struggle because most of the equipment like the treadmills aren't available during certain times of the day. Machines frequently break and it takes a good minute for them to get repaired. The same goes for the weight room. The AC is touch and go. It would be nice if the tvs weren't always tuned to sports or fox news. Food network and/hgtv would be nice. The younger staff does a majority of the work. Some of the older staff might say hi or bye when you enter and exit if they're not too busy talking to...

Love the workout I get there. As far as the workers goes; some are nice I'm sure but of course you have those who love to talk and spread rumors... It's a great gym to workout in!! Was very disappointed when I took my grandson there to spend time with me and help him in wanting to exercise. But unfortunately; he was denied cause he forgot his ID card. I just wanted that morning to share with him. They put us thru the mill with him needing a checking account, my electric bill; etc. All I wanted him to be was my guest and pay the $10.00 for that one time!!!! It truly upset me!!!!
