I visited this shop while visiting a friend who lives in the area. I’d wanted to check it out after passing by their window display previously. It was a high end shop & carries brands I love (Hobo, Barefoot Dreams, Brighton, Consuela & natural life, to name a few). We were not dressed up nor did we even have makeup on as we were not out just shopping this day. We were running a quick errand & stopped in as we were passing by to go back to my friends home. Let me say the treatment we experienced in this boutique was something I’ve never encountered before! There was an elderly lady who was working, & I’m certain the other negative reviews of shoppers who experienced the same treatment while in Anne-Paige encountered her, as well. She LITERALLY , was on my heels the ENTIRE time I was looking at things! And not to be helpful either! Because we were not dressed up (sweatpants, T-shirts) she must have been of the impression that we could not afford to shop in there. She quite obviously saw us as lower class individuals who had intentions of stealing from this establishment. What a snooty, stuck-up, perception that we are not good enough to shop in this boutique! And let me say that she was incorrect! I own many of the brands this boutique carries & I didn’t acquire the from thrift stores or by theft! To say I was incredibly INSULTED by this treatment, is an understatement! I looked up reviews for Anne-Paige AFTER I was in there & wasn’t at all surprised when read that others experienced this exact same offensive treatment! I found it interesting that the Google reviews had replies from the boutique on the positive reviews, thanking them. The negative reviews where shoppers were treated as thieves, no comments, what-so-ever ! At least at the time of my posting. That tells me several things: First, it is not an uncommon practice. Not only that, they don't care that they are obvious in thinking that you’re below them and should not be in there. This is discrimination at its finest! No apologies from owner of the establishment for discriminatory behavior either! My best guess would be that employees are instructed to do this when someone enters that appears to them is low-class & can’t afford to shop there. As I said in the beginning, I’ve never experienced this kind of treatment and I’m in my early 50’s. But it has shown me what discrimination feels like & it breaks my heart knowing that some people are treated in a discriminatory manner regularly. Whether it’s from nationality, race, clothing, etc., this is NOT okay! Shame on those who do this & shame on the owner and employees at Anne-Paige Boutique in Gore, OK! I would like to think my review might change your pathetic business practice of discrimination but I also know that it likely will not. But if nothing else, I’ve expressed how disgusting it is & others can be aware of it. At a minimum, you could be far less obvious and save some customers from being insulted and/or having their feelings hurt. Or maybe that doesn’t even matter to you? *Photo Attached is of the employee (owner, maybe?) who followed me all over the store.

We love this store and every time we are in town my mom and I stop in. We have even driven the 2 hour drive to purchase Consuela from their store. However, today we had one of the worst experiences and probably won’t be back. We had been out on the river all day fishing and decided to go into town to go shop at Anne Paige. When we entered it just felt off the oldest employee in there was very strange she kept a close eye on all of us making us uncomfortable she was not offering to be helpful at all. I was looking at purse straps because my purse strap had just broken and I needed a new one she rudely asked me ā€œare you going to touch them and not buy oneā€ I had planned on purchasing one but not after that. She also rudely ripped a product from my friends hand after she had accidentally knocked it over and was picking it up. She also was upset that my husband was smelling the different bars of soap when he had the intentions of purchasing the ones he liked. There is one employee in there she is not the owner or her mother she is the younger one and she is fantastic and I hate that she has to be grouped into...

We just stopped in the store and instantly felt like we were being judged because we had swim shorts and t shirts . On top of that one of the ladies came and asked my 8 yr old for her basket she had so she could set it up front. They have balloons in the floor decorating the front of the store and my 2yr old granddaughter ran to try to catch. The same lady approached, as I was trying to get my grandaughter and was telling me this was unacceptable. Its not like I was allowing her to play there Then she proceeds to go to the other side to get my granddaugter, who was crawling to me. First of all you need to treat all customers the same regardless of what they are wearing. You are in a lake town!!Secondly if you dont want children in your store post a sign and for heavens sake DONT put bright colored ballons right in...
