Alright, so my boyfriend and I decided to take a trip to Gorham on Saturday, October 24 because we received a flyer in the mail the day before about some recliners that were a REALLY good buy. The trip is only about 30-40 minutes from our home near Bethel, Maine, so it was nice to choose, spur of the moment, to take the a little cruise.
We got to top furniture and after our usual bickering about wearing masks into a store, we decided to go in and find these recliners. Upon entering, there was a couple receiving help from one of the sales people and we headed in the direction of the nearest recliners. As we ventured forth, we ran into a sales person (whom I cannot recall his name) ready to take us by the horns! After explaining that the models we were looking for were on back order and probably wouldn't be in until November-ish due to the lack in manufacturing during the COVID 19 pandemic, he took around the store to view different recliners that we may like just as much as the ones we had seen in the advertisement.
Let me tell you... we don't have any children, but boy did my boyfriend's face light up in just about every recliner he sat in just as a five year old boy's would on Christmas morning to see his first kids dirt bike. See, we were using a couch in our living room that is a crazy bright red color and it is broken. After at least a year of him saying the couch wasn't broken (a spring would pop and he would have to pick up the cushion and replace the spring in the correct spot), he was finally past the stage of denial. He happily hopped from one recliner to the next. He finally settled on this green lazy boy and I settled with a brown one.
During check out, the poor sales man was subjected to my random comments. He laughed, my boyfriend was embarrassed to go out into public with me, and we bought the two recliners!
Overall, the experience was excellent and I would recommend that specific sales man to everyone. He had a good sense of humor, knew his videogames, and deserved every cent of commission he made - I'm basing this on the fact that he convinced us to buy over $1k of merchandise when we were looking at no more than $700. Keep up the good work, sales man, and I hope you choose to order the new Assassins Creed on your new...
Read moreWere hours late. No call. Brought way cheaper washer and dryer set than we purchased. We called. They tried to just replace washer...sold our set to someone else that we already paid for. Brought the kitchen set. Put a screw through the table. Didnt want to even listen to me. Continuously put me on hold. Went down there. Was immediately told I wouldnt be listened to. They finally agreed to bring the table again after I refused to leave. Put another screw through the 2nd table. Needless to say bought and paid for a washer, dryer, and kitchen set. Dont have any kitchen set and have a different washer and dryer than purchased. Im a business owner myself. Their customer service was the worst I ever dealt with. I caution all to stay far away from Top Furniture. Go out of town Edit** to top it off. Show up this morning for the refund check and get met outside with nothing but an attitude. Not an apology anything. A basic F U. This...
Read moreI just drove an hr to get to this store, as I’m looking to purchase a sectional for my new house. There’s one dude working and he asks what we are looking for and I tell him a sectional, he directs me to the clearance and points out another one near it. I ask questions on the not discounted $3500 couch to which he can’t find the papers for it, says he will go print them. We wait. I walk across the store to the bathroom and notice he’s at a desk with another customer. I ask if he was going to return with the spec sheet. He seems flustered and started clicking around on the computer and can’t really come up with much other than the colors and it’s “fully customizable”. Couple people in offices click clacking on computers. I might buy that couch but I can assure you it won’t...
