Richard Lyons' Nursery — Local services in Goulds

I'm looking for particular flowering plant, and after researching this past Sunday, practically most of the day, I came across a few nursery's which indicated they carry this particular flowering plant. I choose this nursery because it is the closets in Miami, others located in Broward, or halfway, close to Broward. I proceeded to call Richard Lyons' Nursery & left a message. My call was returned by Mr. Richard, the owner. I was on the phone with this person for 8 minutes, asking him to the point questions regarding the flowering plant I was looking to purchase. My time is of the essence, I don't live around the corner to this nursery, which I explained and I didn't want to waste my time, nor his. I was told that I didn't live far, which I reside in the area of S. Miami & Gables, and he has customers who come from further than myself. Which to me is not relevant, because it is my time. I could not understand Mr. Richard because he was chewing, and eating his breakfast and a few times I had to ask him to repeat what he was saying, because in the NORMAL world when one is chewing & eating it's pretty much challenging to understand what they are trying to ARTICULATE. The call ended: Ok, I have to go now. And that was it. If I'm looking for a particular item, the logical thing to do is to check to see if indeed they do have it, prior to driving 19 miles, each way. We all have good & bad days, but it's unacceptable to not provide a potential customer, good service, on the phone, prior to his/her in person purchase. Thank...

Some woman want designer shoes, I want designer landscaping! I bought an old house on a corner lot with zero landscaping. Because this old house needed help on the inside, I began my landscaping design with inexpensive, very practical low maintenance plants. It was a huge improvement and satisfied me & my complimenting neighbors...for the time being. My husband & I were bored and took a trip to this nursery, we felt like we were in Disney land! So many plant and trees different from my neighbors (and I know, cuz I stalk with my bike). The plants and trees are really we'll priced based on their size. I'm so tired of waiting for these little shrimp plants to grow because I'm broke. The staff was so nice and patient with all my questions about basically everything I liked. Not to mention that they give you a golf cart to ride around and browse!! Told ya, Disney land! I live in miami shores and I will never buy from any...

I am sorry for such a late review. I was here in 2017. I read about this nursery online and drove down from Loxahatchee to visit the nursery. I was met immediately by an employee who asked if he could help me find anything. I was literally just looking around. I told him I was just looking. He was in a golf cart. He asked to show me around. I spent the next hour driving around the nursery with the man who was explaining all the trees and plants to me. I shortly found out that he was thee Mr. Lyons. What a surprise! I cannot say enough about my experience. I am forever grateful for this education and passion he bestowed. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone to experience and explore this...
