Stumbled into Blueberry Bowl in Deer River, MN, expecting just a quick slice, but oh boy, I got a full-on adventure! The pizza? Absolute perfectionâcrispy crust, sauce that sings, and enough cheese to make a dairy farmer proud. I got the buffalo chicken pizza, and letâs just say itâs the kind of pie that could convince you to move to Deer River just for weekly takeout.
But the real MVP? The coin pusher game in the corner. I swear, I fed that thing more quarters than a laundromat, chasing that elusive jackpot like I was Indiana Jones hunting treasure. Spoiler: I won a grand total of three quarters and a weird sense of pride.
Then thereâs the pull tabsâmy walletâs crying, but my heartâs racing like Iâm one tab away from retiring to a yacht. Spoiler again: Iâm still not yacht-rich, but I had a blast. The vibeâs like your cool uncleâs basement, but with better lighting and friendlier staff. If youâre in Deer River, this place is a must for pizza, pull-tab dreams, and coin-pushing glory. Five stars, would bankrupt...
Read moreWe've eaten at Blueberry many, many times, but this afternoon was absolutely awful. There weren't many customers there, but the waitresses hardly stopped by our table, we waited over and over for them. We then decided to bowl, huge mistake! The pin set up system wasn't working properly and wouldn't send the balls back or wouldn't reset the pins. We had to ask someone to go down and physically reset the system for us about about 7 or 8 times. You'd think they would have given us a break on the price to play their broken down system, but no, they didn't. Then after they brought us our bill, they never came back to take our credit card for payment, so we had to go to the bar and ask them to run our card. The staff was young and took more time to chat with each other than they did waiting on customers. We will never go back to Blueberry. I will pay more money to go somewhere where they appreciate...
Read moreWow!!!! Am I ever sorry for my previous review! The reason it was closed was for the new ownerâs wedding. đ¤Śââď¸đ¤Śââď¸đ¤Śââď¸. (Thatâs a whole other story). Iâve come to find them as some of the hardest working, red blooded Americanâs ever!!! Not only is the pizza still mouth-watering fantastic, the choices on the menu are second to none. Imagine, in a little tiny town, finding a gold mine. You wonât leave dissatisfied! I recommend getting one to go for lunch for later in the week! đ

Sad! đ˘ I wonder how many people drove miles to have a pizza only to find out a "public" place was closed for a private event? I'm a bit peeved and a lil confused and left craving Blueberry...
