Ogie's Party Store — Local services in Grand Rapids

We just bought a house just up the street from here. I'm a member of a monthly cocktail club so I'm often looking for random hard to find liquors and liqueurs. Ogie's has a bunch of amazing surprise finds available if you look, all at fabulous prices. I found two different fun Gins that I haven't seen anywhere else - Corsair Head Style and McQueen and the Violet Fog Gin. Both made EXCELLENT cocktails. And they'll order a bottle of anything you want as long as they can get it. This week I'll be picking up Italicus and Mr. Black (normally I'd be driving to Chicago to find the Mr. Black). And he sold me the first bottle of Buffalo Trace I found locally in over a year. Not going to lie, I nearly cried.

I love being able to support a local small business with my hobby. Especially when I don't have to drive to get there.

My husband is there almost daily for cigarettes and Diet Mountain Dew, and our kids regularly go in for assorted drinks. It's a wonderful little place within walking distance with friendly staff who take pride in the shop. It was yet another aspect of moving to this part of the city I was thrilled about.

They also carry a nice selection of snacks, and your standard basic grocery fare, which came in handy when I was making meatloaf and discovered we were out...

I will say that Ogies is the #1 best convenience store I support near the Creston neighborhood, Shan is simply the most kind-hearted human on earth. Me and my wife has been going here for years and every time you walk in you see his face light up with real joy to see you, and the environment is so welcoming. I always make sure to stop by when I get the chance just to see him, grab some snacks and talk...

Yo, new permanent customer here!! I just moved here a few weeks ago & NO place within 10 miles of me had wild turkey sting!! I told the owner about this & a few days later, he hits me up, BOOM... Turkey Sting sitting there waiting on me!
