Our countertop and cabinet journey began in August of 2021. We had just purchased our new home in June and I promised my to renovate the kitchen. This was the first time we have purchased cabinets and granite. While the customer service inside the store was poor (what's with the front desk people who just don't add any value) we chalked that up to post pandemic staffing issues. We placed a deposit for the granite on 8/13 and signed the cabinet paperwork on 8/25. They said it would take anywhere between 12 and 16 weeks for the cabinets to be delivered. We never heard from them again. I called toward the end of January 2022 and they said my cabinets had been received 12/26. No call...nothing. The cabinets were finally delivered 2/18/22. There were 2 damaged cabinets and issues with 6 others. I contacted the store and they put a 4 week rush on the replacements. On 3/9 the countertop templating took place. The install date was set for a month later on 4/6/22. The time in between we had to use our bath tub to wash our dishes until our contractor could re-install our old counter and plumbing to use until our new granite counter top was installed. On 4/6 our replacement cabinets were delivered and our new granite counters were installed. This granite was what my wife had always been looking for! Unfortunately the fabricator cut the sink incorrectly (at an angle). We notified the National Design Mart...they sent someone out to verify this horrific error. They said they could either recut the sink or better yet they had a remnant piece that would match the flow of the other pieces. On 4/28 they came and removed the bad piece. (Plumbing had to be unhooked/ temp counter removed) for the new piece to be installed on 5/3/2022. Well...the new piece was not even a close match. Our Contractor had to come back out, build a new temporary countertop and reinstall the plumbing. They now tell us there is no more of our granite in stock. Mind you, I have been the one calling them and following up with them this entire time. Not one manager from cabinets or counter tops had called to empathize. Lia, Corey and Alisa were sympathetic to these issues but you would have thought bells would be going off. We now have to search for new granite(settled for a lesser grade). Mark the manager finally called and said he felt terrible...after I said to the installer that no one has ever reached out to us. I told Mark that this project is costing me a fortune every time my contractor has to come out and uninstall and reinstall the plumbing. Mark gave me $600 which didn't come close to the invoice my contractor gave me. My contractor charged me nearly $2,000 for 2 uninstalls and 2 reinstalls, along with 2 temporary counter tops...just so we have a surface to work on...mark tried to say he has giving me the best he could...On 5/25/2022 the third round of granite was installed. As we endeavored through this mess, the staff in the store all knew of our story, the installers were all shocked (these guys were truly awesome) knowing what we had been through. Our odyssey with National Design Mark was finally over. Did we ever hear from anyone after the last install...No. This kitchen project I promised my wife ended up costing me much more that we budgeted due to National Design Mart. I share this story so hopefully you don't have to to endure what we...
Read moreBuyer beware!!! I sincerely regret doing business with this "professional" company. I can't undo what's been done but I can let people know what happened and hopefully help them avoid the headaches, sleepless nights, and thousands of dollars thrown down the drain! Our mistake: We trusted their "in-store experts" - if you decide to go with this company PLEASE do your research BEFORE signing anything! There's a reason why they can give better deals than their competitors. They make up the money elsewhere… What happened: We went to several different flooring companies and thought we liked National Design Mart best. They had a great sales woman and gave us the best offer. They sent a "professional" out to measure and take photos of our living room and gave us the price for installing our new carpet. They sent us the paperwork which included a drawing of our living room. It looked good to us and we trusted that the "professionals" knew best. When the installer came out (third party- PHENOMENAL guy) refused to install the carpet because of the seam location. The seam was placed almost directly on the walking path / high traffic area. The installer let us know that this was beyond bad and one of the biggest no no's in carpet install. A simple google search confirmed this. He was at our home for over an hour waiting for National Design Mart to respond- thinking that they were going to make this right… They wouldn't return our calls and when they finally did all they said was that we signed off on it. They never once brought up seam placement. Never told us it was important. Never asked us where we wanted the seams placed. They said absolutely nothing about it. We didn't know it was important or that we had to ask them about it. We trusted that they were the experts and that they knew best. We tried to work with them to figure out a solution but they already had our money and that's clearly all they care about. They refused to send a new piece of carpet (its pre-cut) and had the installer put in what we signed/agreed to. We asked that they replace the carpet, or that they give us some money back, or that they simply guarantee the seam for the life of the carpet. Nope. Nada. Nothing. They did send a really nice spokesperson out to the house to chat with us but he wasn't allowed to give his opinion or make any decisions. Great guy but a smile and a friendly conversation doesn't help the fact that our carpet's life span was cut in half. They obviously know seam placement is important but if they can trick customers into putting it in high traffic areas then it's a win win for them. They save money on materials and they know the carpet will need replaced in half the time. If you’re an expert on flooring and know then you may have a good experience with this company but I highly recommend you go elsewhere. They are not trustworthy. They are not professionals. They do not care about their customers. They do not care about doing the right thing. They do not care about anything other than their bottom line. Please do yourself a favor and take your...

They destroyed the floor of my second floor putting in carpet. They were banging on the floors like a JACKHAMMER. The foundation now shakes. They dropped the furniture down from so hard the floors now shake all the time. They seem to mess up people houses, but when it comes to homes and they do corporations because they can bang on floor extremely hard. I am not sure why all of these news stations are endorsing them.
