First Class Radio, Inc. — Local services in Granite City

This is the most unprofessional store I have ever encountered! I took my radio in for some repairs and later when things weren't working correctly, another shop showed me where the tech had installed components on the underside of the printed circuit board instead of the correct side of the board. FIST CLASS told me the radio would never do more than 15 watts AM and 18 watts SSB. Sent my radio to Trucks CB Sales in Glasgow, Ky. and it now does 44 watts AM and SSB. Additionally I had a friends amp that the power supply had become weak in and so I took it to these two jokers for a simple power supply upgrade/repair. When I got it home....the cooling fan would barely spin and if you key'ed down....it would stop entirely and the LED's would dim to almost no indication. I called them expecting a request to bring the amp/power supply back to them for a proper repair and they told me that it worked great for them. Remember is was never placed in amp or power supply mode by me and it wouldn't work ....so how did I damage it? They proceeded to place the blame on me and refused to fix it without additional dollars which had already reached at least $200.00. Vince the shop manager was rude and his big glutton of a tech was lost in space. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU NEVER TAKE ANYTHING TO THEM AS THEY ARE INEPT IN THEIR REPAIRS. Junk radios laying all around and located in one of the worst locations in the St. Louis Area, Edwardville area. I WILL NEVER LET THEM TOUCH MY EQUIPMENT AGAIN.....PERIOD!!!! THIS IS A FLIGHT BY NIGHT REPAIR SHOP THAT WILL LET YOU DOWN IF YOU ARE FOOLISH ENOUGH TO LET THEM WORK ON YOUR EQUIPMENT. TRUCKS CB SALES HAD THE AMP/POWER SUPPLY UP AND RUNNING FULL POWER IN A MATTER OF HOURS!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND A LOT OF MONEY BY AVOIDING THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!! They have the worst costumer service I have ever seen and feel such relief that they only got to rip me off on two items. It is worth sending your equipment to Trucks CB Sales if you want reliable and fantastic work. They provide a video of your repaired unit in action just to show you that it got a quality repair!!!! I personally hope First Class Radio in Edwardsville goes out of business asap.....so that nobody else gets this kind of...

I needed/wanted a specific antenna mount for my pickup truck. I sent an e-mail and Vince replied promptly that he had one in stock. I drove about 35 miles to get there and was pleased with what I found. Garren (spelling?) helped me and I ended up getting everything from their store including my new radio, antenna, SWR meter as well as the stake hole mount I was after.

Pricing was exactly what I expected for retail with in-person customer service. Name brand equipment (FireStik, Astatic, Cobra) was all 2-3 dollars more than websites but even the radio was $13.00 less than MSRP so overall I was pleased to get my stuff same day with customer...

I brought a smart TV to him to be fixed it was only flashing but still had a picture and was able to power on he had it for 5 after 5 months of calling and checking on it he said he replaced everything but the screen and still couldn't fix it then when they brought it back they brought it without the power cord it took another 4 to 5 days for them to bring me that and the right one. Once I got the power cord I went to turn on and now no turning on at all and there is a small dent in the outer part of my screen. I dont recommend these people to any one who is looking for their TV...
