I was dismayed when I saw that Alvin had posted one star on October 15, saying there wasn’t much else besides baby things. I was in the shop today, October 16, and I could have spent hours browsing through the two floors of nearly-new articles of clothing for men, women, children, Halloween, toys, accessories, and the list goes on. I am quite sure Alvin didn’t make it past the front door entry. In addition to buying lots of clothes there for my family and myself, I have earned several thousand dollars by consigning items since the store opened. The only reason this woman does so well is because she has a prime location with Grantham and Eastman residents so close. It is no thanks to her and her horrible customer service. I've tried it a couple of times and each time I get more and more irritated. It's not that I think I'm always right or never in the wrong but it's her utter lack of respect, curt interaction and stuck up personality that ruin it for me. Speak to me politely. When you see an overwhelmed mother doing the best she can perhaps offer some assistance rather than complain. Learned my lesson for the final time and will direct all my business and will send all of my children's gently used very nice clothing to The Clothing Exchange in Newport. Closet treasure is a consignment shop. It has amazing stuff there that is usually different every week I stop in there!! They have lots of things...womens,mens,children and infants clothing/shoes. They have jewelry and purses. (Sometimes even COACH). Toys,books,movie dads,seasonal/holiday things,and misc!! Definitely worth going there to check it out!
