Thanks again for an amazing day of great Blues with one exception. Which ever commitee person nominated Cha Wa to be in the line up really messed up. I hope not one dollar of my ticket purchases went to them. I didn't pay to go to a Blues Jam to listen to aborigine jungle music. They have no business at a Blues Jam. Then to top it off they were warming up so loudly I couldn't hear the amazing music of Roy Rodgers. How rude is that? 30 minutes of warm up for a bunch of junglle drums and a trombone? Don't be rediculous.
If that is the direction the Blues Jam is going in the future you will loose at least one loyal fan. Guess you will have to change the name of the event as well. Half way through their performance I had to go sit in my car and listen to real Blues music.
I guess with so many great performances, one stinker is okay but not for me.
Looking forward to next year except if Cha Wa is...
Read moreI've been to the Greeley Blues Festival for 5 years in a row now. It was under different management this year and it was NOT an improvement. Parking was awful and I don't know who set up blockades the way they did but it was a mess. Entry was just shy of a strip search for a festival! The organization left a lot to be desired with lost tickets and...
Read moreI've been there 7 out of the last 8 years. Its a BLAST! Very low admission price for 13 hours of Blues heaven. Its a remarkably nice venue, considering its a rodeo arena. BUT, just out of coincidence, the acoustics happen to be superb! It may be one of the acoustically best outdoor venues after Red Rocks. Very friendly people, an extremely mellow crowd, lots of good food, 2 stages with continuous music all day. Plenty of room, even with 1000's of people there. Plenty of close-in parking. Its a true musical joy every June. HIGHLY...
