We used Renards for our wedding and had mixed feelings overall. On the positive side, the food was absolutely deliciousâour guests loved it, and we really enjoyed everything that was served. The quality was exactly what we hoped for.
However, the planning and communication were frustrating and disorganized. Our pricing changed multiple times without clear explanations, and we often had to follow up ourselves to get basic information. Even the week of the wedding, we had to remind them about our charcuterie board for cocktail hourâsomething we had discussed and been quoted for but they had completely forgotten. They also didnât arrive at the time they had said they would on the day of, which added stress to an already full day.
One of the most disappointing aspects was the overwhelming amount of leftover food. We were quoted and paid for 85 guests, but we had way more food than necessaryâenough to feed at least 30 extra people. It felt incredibly wasteful and made us wonder how carefully the portions were planned.
At one point, we were told that they had quoted us the wrong prices on all the food items but decided to just raise the price on one of them âas a favor.â That kind of logicâand the way it was communicatedâwas confusing and didnât inspire confidence.

What I love the most though is their reliability - I never have to worry that they won't show up or won't be on time. But, what makes our catering experience most enjoyable is Paul! He is amazing and is always friendly and personable with our team. He has gained quite a reputation at our tailgates as everyone loves talking to him. There have been numerous occasions where he has gone above and beyond and helped us get stuff set up when it wasn't expected of him. He just has such a positive attitude and will do whatever it takes to ensure we are happy and well taken care of. Much appreciated; it is hard to find great customer service like that. And kudos to Hayley as well for always making sure our orders are scheduled properly and well...

We had great communication up to the scheduled tasting for our event. After the tasting we thought this is the one! Our coordinator assured us they would send the contract and pricing for deposit as soon as possible. Well as soon as possible turned into a week so we followed up to check in. Our coordinator 'promised' us to have the information sent by the end of the next week. The end of next week turned into 3 months. Three months later our coordinator reached out asking if we would like to start a contract and they would need to know by the following Thursday. There was no apology for the lack of follow up or communication. To have a vendor not respond for 3 months is horrible when planning an event as I feel every action they take is a reflection of how your event will go.
