WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN. Ladies…Cleveland Beauty Collective is hands down the BEST in the beauty business! The artistry skills are unmatched and the results are 10/10! Don’t hesitate, just book!

I used CBC for my wedding day bridal makeup along with 6 bridesmaids and 2 moms. Originally, I had booked with another artist that I had been following on social media for a long time (from another business) who unfortunately had to cancel our contract and I was without a makeup artist less than a year out from the big day. No hate to that artist, life happens! But needless to say, I was freaking out.

I was recommended to CBC by my matron of honor who is a wedding photographer. I knew already the results were going to be good if a photographer highly recommends them! Back story, I’ve always been a “I’ll do my own hair and makeup” person as a bridesmaid; I am extremely picky about how my makeup is done and I unfortunately saw time and time again results from artists that wasn’t 100% exactly what I’d pictured for myself.

Enter my beauty guru, queen, sweet summer child, soul friend Riley from Cleveland Beauty Collective. During our trial, I instantly knew the universe made the right choice for me. Riley listened to my entire word vomit novel of needs/wants, areas of concern, ideas, inspo pics and helped me piece together my makeup look bit by bit. The first trial was absolutely drop dead stunning, I actually wore the makeup to my bridal shower that same day and everyone loved it!

However, I am a creature of change lol I decided I wanted to go in a pretty different direction with the makeup and decided to do a second trial. As soon as Riley handed me the mirror that second time around, I knew she understood EXACTLY what I had envisioned in my head and made it come to life right on my face!

The big day was so smooth and seamless, although I had no doubts! Riley and Erin showed up exactly on time and set up their stations comfortably fitting each body type (the chairs were comfy and didn’t feel like you were going to break it, if you catch my drift lol). With 9 women to get makeup done, we were on a strict schedule but Riley and Erin kept on task while remaining calm, relaxed, fun and professional. All of my bridesmaids talked non stop afterwards about how gorgeous they all felt; everyone looked like themselves but elevated! The moms too looked amazing and both had great experiences! We had all different skin types too (dry, oily, acne prone, mature, wrinkles, etc) but both artists worked their magic to beautify everyone exactly as they wanted.

CBC uses amazing quality products and applicators and have everything you can think of to make your makeup dreams come true. My makeup turned out better than I ever imagined and withstood the test of tears, sweat, cheek kissing, hugging and dropping it low on the dance floor! The quality of artistry and the dedication to making you feel like a million bucks was worth every single penny.

Aside from that, my entire crew and I had so much fun with Riley and Erin on the big day! Riley, thank you so so so much for becoming one of my favorite people ever! Our conversations about everything under the sun and your addictively sunny personality made me not only cherish my time spent with you but trust you completely with making my makeup dreams come true. Selecting Cleveland Beauty Collective as the makeup team for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made! From the beginning of the process, Cleveland Beauty Collective was organized, thorough, and very helpful in answering any / all questions. Their informational packet was comprehensive which enabled an easy decision-making process regarding the variety of their services.

Working with Riley was truly a dream! She did such a good job understanding my preferences and ideas for the makeup look I wanted (especially as a makeup novice / someone who does not regularly use makeup), while also utilizing her years of experience and expertise to help shape the plan. Instantly she made me feel comfortable and at ease during the preview appointment, which left me feeling even more excited to have her as the MUA for the actual wedding day. I appreciated how she encouraged wearing the makeup in different lighting / settings to get a feel for how the look would transition across time and send her any notes / edits. Riley took these notes and was able to easily implement them the day-of and created the exact perfect look I wanted. She was also able to easily get to know each of my bridesmaids and my mother’s preferences for their makeup on the day-of and everyone looked absolutely gorgeous. Riley also clearly understood the vibe of the getting ready room and easily created an environment that was chill, fun, and stress-free and the conversations were memorable! We all loved having her there!

Beyond Riley being able to create gorgeous makeup looks for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mother, the makeup was built to last – which is key for the bride in particular! While I did not have to deal with tears, I was overheating a bit during the pre-ceremony photos and my makeup stayed flawless and perfect throughout that and the entire night (including sweating on the dance floor)!

Chrissy was the BEST!! She is so easy to work with, and I don’t even need to go on about how talented she is — her Instagram speaks for itself!

Chrissy went above and beyond to accommodate my extremely sensitive, reactive, rosacea-prone skin. I was very nervous going into the trial, but she was so patient and thoughtful. Beforehand, she sent me a full list of the products and ingredients she planned to use so I could review them in advance. At the trial, I traveled to her studio, and we went a bit over time because she carefully walked me through each product and didn’t apply anything until I was 100% comfortable. I did end up having a slight reaction at the trial — which made me so glad we did one! — and Chrissy was amazing in helping me troubleshoot. Since I live out of state, she even mailed me samples to test at home so we could fine-tune the product selection before the big day.

The week of the wedding, she called me again to thoroughly review what we could and could not use, just to make sure everything was perfect. On the wedding day, she arrived on time, fully prepared, and brought Riley to do half the girls— they were both such a fun and calming presence to have around while we got ready! We slightly adjusted my look from the trial, and I could not have been happier with the result. Everyone looked absolutely stunning.
