Stone House — Local services in Green Valley

First of all let me say that with Sterling, "CASH IS KING!" This whole fiasco started in April. Sterling had bought lots in Saddlebrooke. We live in Oracle, which is only 15 minutes from Saddlebrooke. Because Sterling has NO MODELS and NO SALES office in Saddlebrooke. We had to treck all the way to Sahuarita to see ONLY 1 or 2 models. Their sales agent knew from the very beginning we needed the proceeds from our (listed) home to make this purchase. We were led on for months with a lot of baloney from this sales agent. We went as far as refinancing our home so we could put 10% down when the contract was written. Now it's already October! After ALL this, they decided it would be best if we sold our house first!!! We even got a a Pre-Qual Letter that they wanted. Imagine if all builders felt this way? Many people would not be able to purchase the house of their dreams. Oh, another thing - if you'll be willing to wait forever to have your house built - they take "12 - 14 months," where other builders take "7 - 8." Our house in Oracle took only 5 months to build!! One of the reviewers from early 2018 had a very bad experience but things have changed tremendously for this community. The builder now has a full time staff on-site and very willing to help. It's unfortunate that he didn't do this sooner because Stone House is really "rock'in & roll'in" right now and it could have happened much sooner if he had put a great sales team on site like he has now. The other important thing that the builder did was to build a model home that is now available for viewing! This is a desert community that lies in the foothills of the Santa Rita Mountains and has beautiful views. Another reviewer states that it is too far from town. If you want peace & quiet with large desert lots away from the hub-bub of everyday life, this is definitely the place for you. We are in the process of building a home in this nearly sold out community where lots are selling quickly and yes, we are far from town (25 miles from Tucson and 6 miles outside of Green Valley/Sahuarita)... just where we want to be.
