Nice clean place the staff are helpful. The prices are way to high ex: T-bone Steak $14.99 per lb Porterhouse $16.99 per lb. I didn't see any beef tagged as USDA Choice so you're paying USDA CHOICE for less of a grade like USDA SELECT,UTILITY OR CUTTER. The pork was priced along what the retail markets average. The pork steak and pork chops were carrying too much fat. The boneless pork chops look really great......trimmed very nicely but could be a tad thicker. The stuffed pork chops a great idea but the pork chops ņeed to be thicker and they need to use a bigger pork loin. These small loin and thin chops will be very dry. Not a very good taste left in your mouth. When you advertise SPECIALTY MEATS...I didn't see or find Angus Beef no Veal no Lamb. There was no Beef,Pork or Chicken HORMONE FREE ANTIBIOTICS FREE. NO SIGN SAYING WHAT COUNTRY THE MEAT WAS FROM. IS THERE MEXICO BEEF CANADA PORK? You don't know what or from what Country you're buying from. No fresh Liver,Heart,Tongue or Kidneys. The Chicken Wings were very small priced too high for the tiny wings. They do have a wide variety of brats. The hot soups all three varieties smelled and looked great. They have a great selection of meals to heat up for work ex: Chicken Alfredo and other GREAT PASTA DISHES. They have selection smoked fish and smoked shrimp the price is up there though and I don't know if they do their own smoking. The Bacon is priced way to high. They have a small deĺi the prepared dishes had a dried crust on top of the dish. They didn't look homemade and or handmade. They looked like commercial prepared out of containes. No Tommie Hawk bone in ribeyes. They do have Beer. They have a varieties of Jerky Beef,Turkey and Venison with a variety of flavours. They have a small variety of soda. I didn't see any bread, hot dog or hamburger buns. No Bacon burger but in their deli they had flavored beef patties....bacon cheader cheese and a couple others. They have small to large meat bundles all made up. I didn't see any fresh whole Chicken or half Chicken it's grilling season. Nothing better than grilled Chicken halves with pats of butter placed under the skin pepper and Black Garlic and Smoked Paprika oh spay the chicken with you favorite Olive Oil. When the chicken is 3/4 quarters the way done squeeze Honey all over the chicken then sprinkle hot pepper flakes of your choice. The honey will make the skin a deep golden brown skin. Then when all most done brush with your favourite BBQ SAUCE both the top and bottom. Finish up and you'll have some good eating. Overall not what they advertise. They aren't a specialty meat shoppe at best just a meat counter charging USDA CHOICE GRADE BEEF FOR USDA SELECT OR LOWER GRADES!!!!!!!!!!!! Located on a busy higway US127 just North of...
Read moreI went to the retail meat store to purchase a few things last Friday. I’ve gotten meats from The processing shop before but it’s been a while and I was beyond excited to find the retail store. My family loves the meat sticks. I also found cheese curds and a few other favorites. I had a few questions and was addressed by a person who works there named Barbie. Barbie said she was the manager. I don’t know why Bellenger would want her as their manager. A manager should be knowledgeable and a people person and clearly this woman was NOT a people person. she was terribly rude!!!! I could not believe how she treated me. My purchase was only $60 I’m sure many people spend a lot more than I did and maybe I’d of spent more if it weren’t for Barbie. I gave the store 2 stars because we love the meat sticks but I will NOT be going back to this location. I work hard for my money and when I’m spending it I don’t need to be treated like I’m dirt on...
Read moreI am disappointed beyond belief, I was talked into trying this place, and boy was that a mistake. I purchased a half of beef, the first problem was the amount of beef I received, the girl was trying to tell me that it was correct and refused to go back inside and check. I have purchased beef several times from different vendors throughout Michigan and know how much beef is in a half a steer. There wasn't enough beef to come close to filling my freezer, which has always been filled when I purchase beef in the past from other vendors. The other problem was how the beef was cut, what a disaster, it appeared the person who did this had never butchered anything before. The whole experience has...
