Gardener's Supply Company — Local services in Greenland

I have absolutely loved visiting this place for our plant needs. We love the support when we have questions on some of their plants/shrubs. The customer service is amazing. Unfortunately, I’m disappointed that they only offer a 30 day return on ornamental grasses. I guess it’s not deemed a tree or shrub, so it’s not covered under the 1 year warranty. I’m a little taken aback by this. We planted 4 other items and this 1 ornamental grass. Of course the other items survived from September until now, but the grass did not. I’m surprised that they didn’t at least offer a small credit or discount on a replacement. I’m not looking for a full refund since it is a plant, so there are multiple variables involved. I was just looking for some incentive to purchase another grass or shrub to replace this one that only lived for a few months. I don’t want to discourage others from visiting and buying items, I just want to alert others that ornamental grass is not grouped the same as...

So when one tries to contact Gardner's Supply Co. via their customer service number or email you begin a process of being put on hold for anywhere from 55 minutes to an hour and 45 minutes. My several emails regarding my order were never answered in the 14 days that I have been waiting. I call right at 8:30 when customer service hours begin and I am put on an endless cycle of holds, with no one answering for the 30 minutes I decide to stay on the line. This is not "exceptional customer service" as the recording promises you when you call. I finally called the retail store three days in a row and and on the last try was able to have someone check on my order. It was still be processed (14 days later) so I asked for it to be cancelled.

Unfortunately I will not be doing business with Gardner Supply Co. in the future. They need to realize they must invest in their customer service or even more customers will pass them...

I was buying flowers today...love this place but my check out experience was poor. I had a very pleasant young woman count my flowers and give me a slip to take inside. A middle aged woman was busy doing something on her register....told me to wait...no problem for me..another woman comes in and the woman on the register walks towards her like they are the best of friends, ignores me....who patiently waited and checks her out ... I thought that was quite rude. She asked me to wait for her.... seriously... I.was a not happy. Before I really had a chance to say something...the young woman from outside came in and checked me out. I have worked retail years back...you don't do that to customers... 2 stars for her...not...
