As a Halloween fanatic I am always excited to go to haunted attractions on the weekends for fun. And Woods of Terror was NOT a fun experience. I have never once written a review for any business, in fact, I am a hairstylist at a salon and I myself cannon stand when reviews are written because I know it puts a damper on business. But I truly can tell you that I was so beyond disappointed that I spent money and time to come to this place. I have been here many of times, in fact came last year with my boyfriend and we thought it was a pretty fun time. This year was so much different and I will never be returning. For one, the process just to get in line was absolutely ridiculous. The workers were frustrated, cussing, and aggressive to all of the paying customers. My group did fast pass tickets and we were told to wait in a long line which is not ideal. A security guard asked if we were fast pass, we said yes, and he told us to walk up to the employee putting on the wrist band. When we got up to him he was cussing and fussing that we had gotten up there and not waited in line his exact words were āI donāt care if you guys are fast pass or not this is some bs that yāall are not waiting in lineā and he aggressively put wrist bands on all of us to the point we had tried to loosen them because he was so aggressive putting them on. Once we finally get past that and are told we have to do the online waiver in order to get through we were being rushed to pull up the waiver to show proof of submitting it. Mind you, we are in the middle of no where with multiple people using signal, it was very hard to access anything on our phones and they were getting upset with us when we were having issues pulling up our proof of waiver in a quick manner of time. If they want us to have it ready to show then they should have told us in advance, which they didnāt. Once we got into the waiting area to go into the main attractions it was extremely over crowded, the bathrooms were horrendous, so many workers were just doing absolutely nothing or just yelling at random people. I found the whole thing to be so chaotic and unprofessional, I was honestly ready to leave before we even went through. Once you get through the long wait and finally get to the attraction do not be expecting much. We saw maybe 15 real life people doing their job and trying to scare you. Other than that the characters were either standing in a corner not doing a thing or sitting somewhere idly watching you walk by. It was so bad at one point in the asylum attraction there was a female sitting with her head in her hands sleeping. So ridiculous. It made me really mad that this is what Iām paying for. I had a personal experience with one of the female clowns. I was speaking privately to my sister about something that didnāt pertain to her or involve her and she discretely made a comment about out conversation, I looked at her and said this is none of your business. As someone who is supposed to be in there to scare you and give you your moneys worth, I was more terrified with her attitude and eavesdropping than her character itself. These characters are more worried about arguing with the paying customers, or sitting/standing around doing absolutely nothing. With each attraction you MAY get scared one times. Let me give you guys the math. There are 17 attractions, maybe 5 real characters, and only getting scared once. This is not the number one best haunted attraction in the state this is the number one most pathetic haunted attraction in the state. You can get more scared watching a horror movie at home and you can stay warm and save your money while doing so. Highway robbery...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy partner and I are always looking for places to go to for date nights and we gotta say, we were IMPRESSED.
Let me state, I would highly recommend purchasing the tickets in advance. It saved so much time for us, even as it was our first time there. We purchased the Meet & Greet all access pass.
First, the staff was AMAZING. Even as confused and curious we were about what to do and how early we actually arrived, everyone was super friendly and helpful. The facilities were spotless and the shops where in impeccable orders.
Second, so many iconic characters that my partner and I have seen on TikTok and seeing them in person was amazing. They stayed in character and were really good with their scares.
The Midway was really fun which is recommended to do everything in there before heading out to the trail. We were able to do the 360 photo and get ours for free since it was included in the price of the meet & greet. My partner adores Calypso and she was ecstatic to see us get one with her in it. The Midway has a lot of cute shops to get merchandise and even cute bar shops. There's a band that'll play and the mini shows were amazing as well. This is also where we were able to meet a lot of the characters and enjoy some free range roaming before it got crowded and busy.
Prop noise level... It's a haunted attraction so I say this as someone who is easily spooked by loud noises, some of the characters have props that cause loud noises that can get a little close.
The haunted attractions were amazingly detailed and done. It was like walking through a movie set with how detailed a lot of them were. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the Fungus Amongus set. The amount of time, effort, and care that has gone into these sets definitely is worth the ticket price we paid.
The fog is found in almost every haunted attraction however, in certain areas it is thicker than the previous area. If you have asthmatic flare up of any kind, please please be advised that most of the house has fog machines on the inside and outside that builds up and is thick.
Okay so this next part is the wait times and the attractions. With the meet & greet tickets, you pretty much get to go through quickly and firsthand. While the wait time isn't horrendous, it would've been nice to have a few five or ten minute waits to be able to enjoy the attractions more. There were quite a few attractions were we were just shuffling through the attractions not really having a scare because of amount of people going through at once.
Finally, this one is for the clowns. š¤ I wish I would've gotten one with one of the characters who made my interactions with the clowns easier. He gave me a rock and would ask for the rock just to see it. And the entire interaction with him was absolutely silly and goofy and eased my fear slightly. Between him and Skittlez, I was able to actually make it through the clown attraction without crying this time.š¤£
My partner and I are looking forward to going back next year and we're planning on bring a few of our friends...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOMG I absolutely love this place š !!! I want to go back šÆš ! First let me say it was me and my friend's first time . I had been wanting to go for quite a while . Hearing from others that had gone how wonderful it was . They didn't lie it was spectacular !!! Best one I've ever been to and I've been to several . We went on a Saturday night , got there super early . Parking is $10.00 and cash only . We bought general admission tickets at the ticket booth for $55.00 , also cash only. Online it says 47 or 48 I can't remember , but that doesn't include taxes so it's actually $55.00 . Each night it's open is a different price , Saturday being the most expensive . You can buy 3D glasses at the ticket booth that you can use in several rooms that have 3D effects in the haunt , we didn't, but will next time . You have a QR code you have to scan with your phone to get a waiver you have to sign and show before you're allowed in . Then when you get in there's another QR code to scan so they will text you when to get in line to go through the trail . The midway is awesome . Live DJ, band and dance floor . The band is great , flashing screen next to the band . Colored smoke and fog . Monster parade . Guy blowing flames from his mouth . Ax throwing , food stands , you can also purchase alcohol . Gift shops . Backdrops to take your pictures with . They have an actual bathroom before you get in line and porta potties scattered around . When you're texted to get in line they actually take your pictures and give you a ticket so if you want to purchase them at the end of the haunt you can pick them up . It comes in a " folder " that says woods of terror on it . We bought ours it was reasonably priced at $10.00 and additional ones $5.00 . We bought tee shirts at one of the gift shops . If you want to buy souvenirs , buy them before you go through the trail because when it's over you can't go back to the midway . They take your packages and hold them for you to pick up after you go through the trail which I really appreciated š so you're not stuck dragging them all over the place . It took us about an hour and 15 minutes to go through the 14 ( I think ,it could be more I lost count) haunted houses , each with a different theme . I had the best time ever . Highly recommend and definitely want to go back next year . Oh yeah they have a discount for military šļøšŖ on the tickets šļø . And if you have anxiety and don't want jump scares they have a special necklace ( it's light up skulls and looks really cool ) you can buy for a low scare experience . I'm so glad I went and can't wait to go back . My tips for going , (1) get there early (2) bring more cash than you think you'll need (3) use the bathroom before you get in line ( 4) makes sure you have your phone for the QR codes to get in (5) Wear comfortable shoes (6) do all your shopping , eating , activities in the Midway before you go through the trail/ haunted houses . And most importantly have the best time ever . I...
