I bought a pair of Ariat steel toe work boots. Two weeks later the liner completely pulled out of the left boot. Luckily, my wife had saved the receipt and I called and was told they would exchange them. I carried them back and they said I could get another pair. When I went to actually make the exchange they charged me an extra $7 and said it was due to a price increase from the time I bought the boots to the time I exchanged them. This is not how a warranty exchange works at any store. All they did was return my pair and make me buy a new pair at the new price. $7 will not break me but the way I was treated by the manager when I questioned it will cause me to never return. I own more than one business and understand how it works. Quality products and prices attract customers, customer service is how you attract REPEAT customers. I have spent between $1,000 and $2,000 annually here since they opened. I will now move that business to Sound Feet Shoes and Tettertonâs. Maybe 264 shoes should read what people are saying in these comments because there are a bunch that speak of poor customer service, and poor return/exchange policies. These things donât lead to an increase in business, they eventually lead to closure.
The purpose of this review is not to get my $7, but to warn others of the way they might be treated. My business was lost by the manager and customer service. I told the manager if thatâs how he/she wanted to do business then I wouldnât be back and they said...
Read moreThis rating is for the return policy. Not the employees or facility. I purchased a pair of boots for a birthday present. Unfortunately they did not fit and the receipt was lost in the gift giving process. I tried to return in the original box and 264 Shoe bag I bought them in. Had the transaction # from my debit card and showed them the bank transaction. Would only return with the original receipt. I understand policies but return something within a week with that much info. WOW CERTAINLY NOT TAKING CARE OF THE CUSTOMER. Will take this in consideration on future purchases.i received the below response about 2nds and internet bought boots. Really generic since I am providing a transaction #, my bank out printout showing the transaction, time date, etc. All providing validity to the shoes and where the purchase comes from.Laws change so can policies. Standing on how it is a long time policy doesn't make it right. It's an excuse to claim to be a middle man and not stand behind your product. I am just a single customer so I know it's irrelevant to you. Regardless I will shop your store to try my shoes on but purchase on line. I seriously doubt if the was any sort of warranty issue that you would stand behind your product. As you say "Your Only A...
Read moreGreat selection of shoes. No problem with that.
In total denial of COVID 19 mandates. No signs regarding masks on doors, no hand sanitizer that I saw, no directional arrows or which doors to enter/exit, clerks were NOT wearing masks and when I asked the clerk at checkout if she was comfortable not wearing a mask, she said yes...that was rather obvious.
I then asked about Governor Cooper's mandates and got a shoulder shrug and bit of attitude. I assume the manager doesn't enforce it, so the workers are not responsible and don't have a problem following their lead. 𤡠I will not go there again until this pandemic is over and told them so. I'm sure the clerk didn't care one way or another, but, I felt better when I left. This is the first time throughout the entire pandemic that I have ever said anything to anyone in a store, or anywhere for that matter, but, the total lack of any signage or a attempting to at least suggest customer safety was surprising and unsettling. They have a huge selection of medical scrubs so I wonder how those shoppers feel when they come in?
I did purchase shoes and they do have one of best selections around, so they get more stars for that, but, my review is not about...
