The Tomatoe Vine — Local services in Greenville

I'm giving this 3 stars because generally the produce here is good. The owner has got some pride issues. I never had a problem and thought he was decent, but apparently don't ever try to return something. Never returned a thing there before, but today I spent $16 on strawberries that to me didn't have flavor. When he came to the check out, he asked me what's wrong with them? I told him and his response was " I don't know what you've been tasting. Don't buy them here again" and went on a brief tirade about how good they are and repeating for me not to buy them from his store again. Usually people just say yes or no to a refund and move on. Sounded just like a stereotypical "good ol boy" who looks down on on 'certain types of people' and thinks it's okay to say what he wants. If you don't want a response, then don't ask...

Sam's is a great place to get bargains on many different items. I buy dog biscuits and water on a regular basis. I just got a great deal on a TV there. I also get gas at a discount rate. This is a membership that is worth the money. One complaint that I have for this year is about a freezer. I called ahead to make sure that they had one at the store, and I was told that it was discontinued and there wasn't one available in the store. So, I ordered one from Sam's online. I had to go to Sam's for other stuff and found 3 of the freezers at the store that I had called. This won't stop me from shopping there, but I was disappointed that no one was willing to actually check...

I Spoke with the owner before driving to the store, asking how much she would charge for a bushel of tomatoes for canning. She told me she could not give me that price over the phone. Upon arrival I asked if there were bushels of tomatoes for sale for canning. I was shown where there were boxes of tomatoes and told to look through and remove any that were spoiled. The owner approach me, in process, and told me I was not allowed to remove the spoiled tomatoes. I did not understand the logic and told her I was only removing the rotten produce from each from the box so I could replace it with unspoiled. I was told that was not allow, so I...
