They have a knowledgable and polite staff. The ladies at the front are exceptionally nice. They usually have a good inventory and it is generally diverse. However, I would not recommend ordering a firearm through them. I especially would not give them ANY money at all upfront to order a firearm. Here's how it works (according to an employee who tried to help me). They will have you fill out a form to order a gun and then they will demand a payment of at least 50% of the purchase price of the gun (it seems reasonable at first). But here's the catch, they don't actually order the gun when you pay them. Sure, they take your money, but they put it in an electronic shopping cart hoping and waiting on "management approval." They now have your money but haven't actually ordered anything at all. In my case, the gun in question quickly became a hot item (I knew this would happen). And, even though there were 12 available when I was in the store, they didn't actually get one. I waited the two weeks they claim is usual for delivery (and I checked in with them regularly) only to find out they never ordered the gun I gave them the money for and they have now all been sold (maybe someone at the store took the gun I ordered - we will never know). Now the gun has gone up in price by more than 25%. They refuse to refund my credit card - instead they want me to arrange to come pick up a check in person. So, if they have something in stock, by all means, go ahead and get it. But, if you want to order a gun, go online, order it yourself and have it shipped to another FLL dealer like Greenwood Guns and Gear. The gun Hunter's Headquarters told me today was now totally unavailable anywhere was found by me on the internet in about 5 minutes. It's now being shipped to another dealer and I'll have it in a couple of days. I wasted a lot of time and lost over $100 by ordering here -...
Read moreI spent 2 days at every store that carries handguns and by far this is the best place! Being a female and looking for the perfect handgun besides my wonderful husband these guys were great! They are very educated on every gun the have. They gave great advice without pushing “their favorite “ gun on me. After two long days of holding every handgun made at every sporting store and pawn shop in greenwood I didn’t hesitate to go back to HH! They are a great bunch of people that really laid back and will give you the one in one time you may need. I also compared prices and products.. By far this is the best store and I would recommend anyone who hasn’t been there to definitely go! You might find cheaper somewhere else but when you consider time, travel, and gas it would just be dumb to go anywhere else. I purchased my Walther CCP on the second day and would recommend this gun to anyone especially a female looking to have a comfortable gun that shoots GREAT and will give you the confidence and enjoyment of carrying a handgun. We also signed up when I purchased my CCP for the cwp. The price for the class was also cheap compared to some of the other places I have called.. also will be purchasing a fitted holster from there. One of the best leather guys in greenwood makes them and will put anything on the holster you want for a price that is way cheaper than buying a plain one in a box!! Basically I’m a HH shopper for life! Thanks you guys for all the time you spent answering all my questions and helping me with everything! Keep up the awsome work and I will always send anyone I know there as well! Thanks for my awsome CCP! I shot it finally this morning...
Read moreGreg is the best bow-tech I’ve met. Period.
My new Mathews Phase 4 had been set up by a bow shop in Columbia and there were numerous issues. After a number of trips there with inconsistent results, I saw all the reviews online about Greg at HH and gave him a call.
He was very helpful on the phone and said if I was patient when I got there ( he’s a busy guy because he’s good ) he would take care of me.
I drove an hour and 40 minutes and when I got there I was #3 in line. Both the guys in front of me had driven over an hour also. One had been coming to Greg for 20 years.
He didn’t rush anyone. We all sat around and talked. A bunch of guys who love bow hunting. On average each customer was with him a couple hours on their bows.
When he got to me it was the same thing. He checked it out and recognized numerous things that had been set up incorrectly at the other bow shop and said “I’m just going to start from scratch and do the whole thing.” Music to my ears.
2 1/2 hours later my bow was dialed. This place is amazing if you’re a bowhunter. I’ll make that drive anytime I need work on my bow from now on. It’s that much better than...
