Check-in at Groton Hills Farm Near Boston

What an absolutely lovely experience! The farm we normally go to for pick- your- own blueberries was closed to allow more fruit to ripen, which we didn't know when we left the house with our toddler bright and early, ready to pick! A quick Google search of the area brought me to Autumn Hills Orchard. Not only were they open, but a friendly person on the phone told us they had plenty of berries for picking! We arrived to a lovely hilltop Orchard, away from all the crazy busy crowds. We were the only ones in the blueberry bushes. Our toddler was able to take a little half pint in with him while my husband and I did the "real" picking. We came for blueberries, but they had so many beautiful varieties of Raspberries that I had to stop and try one- they were so delicious even though I'm not usually a big Raspberry fan- I filled my son's empty half pint with some of the most bright Raspberries I've ever seen! Prices were very fair, and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this orchard for pick- your- own fruit if you'd like a quieter experience and a large amount of bushes to choose from, all to yourself! Thank you for for lovely morning!

It was our first time here apple picking 🍎 at Autumn Hills Orchard and my family absolutely loved πŸ’–it. If you just want to pick fruit, this is the place to go. What a beautiful orchard where you can take your time here just walking and enjoying the scenery. It's not crowded and the fruit is delicious. You can try the apples, before buying them!!! We didn't know you can do that.πŸ˜… We got to meet the family that runs this orchard, they are friendly and welcoming--Really nice too. Apples fell out of one of our bags because it broke and they didn't charge us. We been to other farms and it's rare to get that kind of hospitality. Other than fruit, you can get donuts and apple cider too at the check-in.

A sweet little spot to pick apples! Lovely welcoming people, beautiful views, and the apples are tasty. They had 10 varieties the day we picked and had a small selection of other items for sale when you checked out - local goods, a handful of pumpkins, cold bottled cider, cider donuts from another orchard, etc. If you're looking for a more low key apple picking experience / trying to avoid the fall activity crowds, this is a great choice. Check out the antique scale they use to weigh your apples at the end - it still...
