South Lake Electric — Local services in Groveland

South Lake Electric wired my new house with only a few issues. One issue was a wiring problem to the only light socket in the attic. When I noticed the light didn't work they came to fix it as it was within the 12 month warranty period. Unfortunately, I didn't use the light again until 2 months after the year warranty ran out and found it still wasn't working. Obviously it was originally wired improperly and then not really fixed with their warranty attempt. When I asked them to return to readdress their inadequate first attempt, they told me it was "out of warranty" and I would be charged $95 for a service call. Why would I spend more money with this company when they won't even stand behind their work? I feel if they stood behind their work they would gladly come out and really fix the problem instead of avoiding the fact that they screwed up the installation of a simple...

I can't recommend South Lake Electric enough! Scoot Nussbaumer and his team of Ricky Holland and Zach did a fantastic job. It was a big job involving all the electrical work for our pool installation, which included the regular pump, filter, and heater and also swim jets and outside lighting. They worked methodically and carefully. I was impressed with their professional demeanor and all around positive spirit especially as the days were often wet and very hot. They always left a very clean worksite, i.e., no plastic bottles, lunch wrappers or wire pieces. When finished, Ricky walked us through all of the equipment and explained how everything worked. I scheduled an in home appointment and after waiting for the 2 weeks to pass, on the day of the scheduled appointment, SLE called me at 11am to cancel my 1pm appointment! I had cancelled an out-of-town trip on that day, but cancelled it to have my electrical problem fixed! The rep. said the electrician called off work, but they waited until 2 hours before arrival time, to notify me! They didn’t have anyone else to send, but offered to reschedule me again in 2 more weeks! This company does work thru the Duke Energy Company in Florida , under Duke’s repair contract!
