I didn’t see the whole dry forest, but what I saw was amazing! I got there very early, around 7am, or sooner, so I can beat the sun and its heat, and walked to Fort Caprón. There was no one around and the views were really nice. Then I headed for the coast and walked a trail (can’t remember the name, but it’s technically the only one: only one coast there), and walked about 2 1/2 hours going and 1 1/2 hours returning and…it was just beautiful! The views, the cliffs, the ocean… I had it all for myself. Saw some fishermen at the beginning of the trail, but the rest of the hike I was alone. Had a great time! Recommend it, and hope to...

Whatever they had for a visitors center was destroyed by the earthquake(s) of January 2020. There are several trails for hiking. Bring plenty of drinking water and adequate clothing/footwear. The setting is rough, with lots of thorny vegetation and temperature can be unforgiving. No cell phone service on most of the forest area.
