Great stylists, great location, not so good with customer service…and I CANNOT go back anymore!!!! First things first: You will NEVER be seen on time! I have waited 2 hours to be seen with a standing appointment. This place also overbooks, so you may be left sitting with wet water running down your back while the owner dyes the next clients hair. Today was the last straw for me. After calling in to cancel because I’m sick, I was told I’d have to pay a $30 fee and have never missed an appointment in 3 years! The irony is that you get nothing back if she is running late, and this tardiness is the normal for the owner. Last week, I waited in the parking lot for her to open her shop at least 45 minutes because she was running late and had to go back home to “put on shoes!” ( yess… shoes🤦🏾♀️)She texted and wanted my patience and understanding. She also wanted me to let her other clients in the parking lot know she was on the way; however, she apparently doesn’t have the same compassion for others… even her regulars. 2nd, Dacia will speed thru your hair with a hot comb because she is running behind… be warned! and your hair will look great, you just might have your life flash before your eyes, and in some cases, a slight burn or two; this was the the reason my mom stopped going to her. 3rd, you are not allowed to have your phone out unless it’s connected to headphones or you will be chastised like a child. I’ve seen older people barked at while trying to put headphones in the port! 4th, there is absolutely no eating; if the owner hears you wrestling with candy wrappers, be prepared to meet her wrath. And last but not least, she will tell you her other clients business. I was told that one of her clients would be receiving a letter asking them not to come back because of being late and that she feels she is not the right stylist for everyone. When the client walked in, she stopped talking about them and did their hair like nothing happened. But she was right about one thing, she is not the right stylist for everyone…...
Read moreVery arrogant and unpleasant owner! This woman Dacia is killing her business with her bad attitude, there is a turnover of staff (whom are being mistreated by the owner as well) as well as mistreatment of the clients that are not valued at all. The owner makes you feel less and unwelcomed by having unethical rules in this establishment such as no cell phone conversation or speaker permitted in the waiting area. I couldn't believe how she really snapped at a customer for that. Additionally the most unethical cruel rule the owner enforces that no children are permitted in the establishment unless they are being serviced-which excludes alot of single mothers who don't have a babysitter; take your business elsewhere. Furthermore the place is not well located in Prince George's County where you are better off going to a high end salon in Montgomery County and receive...
Read moreBest salon in the area. My hair hadn't been salon treated in two years and I was natural. I scheduled a silk press appointment with Shanika. When I arrived there was another loyal costumer that came at the same time as me, so I was worried that I would be placed on the back burner. However, I was serviced on time. Literally, the best shampoo experience I've received in years! Also I really appreciated the fact that she recommended a trim but didn't force it on me. She wasn't sissor happy at all, just trimmed exactly the dead ends. Overall, I'm so please with my hair and will be back. The price for the silk press was reasonable but $20 for a trim is a bit much if it's an addition...
