2022 was my 1st yr playing here. I purchased a Season’s pass (non-resident senior) at a reasonable price. I play 3-5 mornings a week. The entire course (tee boxes, fairways and greens) has been in great shape (even during the long, hot drought), well-maintained & well-managed. It’s a bit challenging for an average golfer as a “target” course. Brush and thick fringe along the fairways plus several water hazards on 4 holes grab lots of golf balls! The hole layout variety keeps it interesting. I hit from the Whites. I tee off with a 5-hybrid on 2 holes; a 6-hybrid on 1 hole, and a 4-hybrid on #9; and 9 iron, pitching wedge or gap wedge on the others, depending on tee & cup placement. (I lay up in front of the water hazard on hole 6. Some hit a driver or 3 wood from the Blue on 6, over the pond to the elevated green. This hole is a Par 4 from the Blues.) Good exercise walking & pushing my cart up the hills! Also, the annual scramble Tournament on 9/17/22 was very well-organized, with a very good turnout. I look forward to joining again next year. 5 Stars ! John E. Colella,...
Read moreThis was my second time to Guilford Lakes Par 3 Course, it is a beautiful course. Not difficult but great place to practice your short game. Only issue I had was the guy at the counter had an attitude and refused me and a friend to play bc we didnt have a tee time. But other than a 4some on the 1st tee at the moment, no one else was around waiting to go out. I was caught by surprise when he said we couldn't get out. It was about 3 o'clock on a wednesday. We went and talked in the parking lot for about 25 minutes to see if any other golfers showed up and no one did, so counter clerk did eventually shout to us that we can go out if we still want to. But if we left right away, we would not have gotten to play there that day. And no one went out from the time we checked in until 25 to 30 minutes later when he found us in the parking lot. Very odd. But anyway, very pretty course and they take...
Read moreI had a fantastic experience playing at Guilford Lakes Golf Course! This small par 3 course is an absolute hidden gem. It only took me about an hour to play 9 holes, making it perfect for a quick and enjoyable round. The course is beginner-friendly but still offers a beautiful and thoughtful layout that can be appreciated by golfers of all levels. Despite being October, the course was very well-maintained, and the fall foliage was breathtaking, adding to the scenic charm. I can see why they call it ‘little Augusta’—it has that special, tucked-away feel while still delivering a great golf experience. Highly recommend for anyone...
