We have spent 2 weeks in the Gulfport, Long Beach, Bilouxi MS, Beach area. This was 2 weeks before the official start of Summer 2023, and the Memorial Holiday Day weekend so the beach was very empty or with a few visititors each day. The beaches here are a long stretch of coastline with waters from the Gulf of Mexico and the Mississippi Sound coming together. We have seen horseshoe crabs, small sting rays and an abundance of crabs. There is a concrete and pebble stone stairway leading down from the street parking area to the sand. This too runs the coastline making it very handy ! The sand is really white and deep. There are areas roped off for the nesting birds you will see and are OFF LIMITS !! The ground crew do a really good job of keeping the debris and trash picked up via the heavy equipment daily. This method can only do so much and covers a lot of coastline quickly, however; each day I walked the shore line I was still amazed at the amount of trash and debris left behind from daily beach-goers. The water is littered with tons of trash washing up from who knows where. Each day I found a new treasure from a slide curtain rod, to a renusit air freshener fully intact, to dead marine life and what appeared to be a rotisserie chicken carcass. NO KIDDING !! As I continued my walk I collected at least 2 grocery bags of trash in no time at all. Lots of glass, cigarette butts, cigar filters, needles and syringes, tons a various plastic, styrofoam pieces, and more skeletons or pieces from...well I am just not sure from what. So the commercials the you see on TV are real, our plants waters are trashy and unhealthy. It's just sad. We all need to do a better job of leaving just a foot print and nothing more. Please do your part, and have fun at...

The birds were right next to us all day and it was fun watching them dive into the water or soar above us. It was my first time ever to a beach. So happy it was this beach. Had a blast and will def be...
