So I was gifted this beautiful high end charcoal grey pea coat. 3/4 length. Double breasted. It fit well enough. Except it wasn’t mine. The sleeves were too long so I had to cuff them. The shoulders were too tight so I only could wear thinner sweaters while wearing that coat. I’ve never had anything that was customized for me aside from a deli sandwich. I have known Matt for over 10 years and have watched him and his business grow. I had decided that if I were to get anything tailored, it would have to be from someone I know and trust. I reached out to Matt and the process begun. He drove over an hour to my home and we sat and chatted around the dining room table. He shared parts of his story, and I did the same.

Then we got to business. Matt knows me and my style so he suggested a few fabrics that might be aligned with what I was looking for. Honestly, I knew right away that his suggestion was what I wanted the exterior fabric to be. The inner lining is what makes my coat even more fun! Matt had so many samples with various colors and designs and patterns that really allowed for a deeper expression of oneself. From the measurements, explanations, and photographs, Matt was knowledgeable, personable, and professional.

I was looking for someone to tailor a dress that I loved but just didn't fit right whatsoever. Matt was super quick to respond to my inquiry and came to me when it worked for my busy schedule. We did the fitting right in my apartment and it was super professional and easy. What I really loved is Matt took the time to see how the piece was fitting me, he pointed out how one of my shoulders was lower than the other and why that affected how the straps were fitting and how the front was falling. That made it so clear to me that he was going to have the dress tailored to fit me, rather than trying to fit me into the dress. I felt so comfortable leaving my dress in his hands knowing I wanted to wear it to a wedding in a couple short weeks and he certainly delivered an amazing product! The dress fits perfectly, and he had it back to me 5 or 6 days before the wedding so I could try it, style it, etc. without being stressed about how soon the event was.
