My family and I recently moved to the area and noticed some burning oil from our Subaru. Not knowing where to take it, I went to shop close by our home. I was told that our head gasket was leaking. This came as a surprise to us since we took care of the infamous Subaru head gasket problem a few years earlier. I wanted a second opinion, but was at a loss for who else to try. Browsing shops online I found Justin's Subie Shop. With the high quality (but low quantity) reviews, I was hopeful he could help us. Justin was very kind on the phone and he invited me to come and look at the car with him for our first appointment. When I arrived Justin took the car for a test drive with me to get a feel of the car. Then he pulled the car into the (very cool, antique filled) garage and put it on the lifts. Within two minutes he identified that the oil leak was NOT from the head gasket, but rather the $35 Oil Pressure Switch. He told me it was a common problem which is why he always has the part in stock. He replaced the switch in a flash and had me on my way. He also recommended that I get an undercarriage wash to clean up the oil and speed up the oil burning off the engine and recommended a place since I am new to the area. Justin and the Subie Shop was a miracle to say the least. I was almost going to spend a small fortune (again) to let the other shop repeat the unecessary head gasket job. Even if it was the head gasket (again) for some reason, I would have trusted Justin to do it better than the first time. Thank you Justin! We will definitely be bring our Subaru here...

I have a 2016 wrx that is high mileage and modified. Justin and Carol have been amazing in helping me with keeping it running and professional advice for fixes and maintenance. I am a massive amateur when it comes to being mechanically inclined and have never felt taken advantage of. Justin also will let you know if he believes it can be a DIY job and the risks that come with it allowing for you to have the freedom and trusted word of a professional. Prices are great while getting a Master Technician’s grade of work. Never had this kind of trust or relationship with another shop like I have here. Plan to use their services years and years on as my car runs up the mileage!

They have genuinely saved me so much time, money, and headaches. They’ve also caught mistakes from other shops, and I learn something new every time I go there. I feel bad for asking so many questions and taking their time but they always respond in a great attitude and with the best information around.

I had my STi in the shop a little over a month ago for routine service at the 100k mark. Naturally I was concerned about how much life was really left in my engine and debating whether to invest in replacing my timing components without also doing internal work. I was ready and willing to have serious work done, but Justin came through and offered a great plan for how he was going to make my visit worth the drive. He was able to diagnose the health of my internals from a few test, and from there on in we were able to communicate on what all work would actually need to be done. Justin easily could have sold work that was unnecessary and I would have done it, but he instead gave me the best possible outcome.
