I drove by today (10-3-2015) and it looked like a fun place for the kids. Picked the girls up to gear them up for the holiday season, but made the mistake of coming here. My little girls (4yrs old and 3 yrs old) love pony rides, so we went straight to the ponys. We were the only family at the farm so it was nice not to have a line. The younger lady was a little rude that ran the pony rides. It cost $5 per kid, which wasnt to much money had the ride lasted longer then a minute, so the $5 was NOT worth it. They have pumpkins brought in and already sorted in rows, so it wasnt really fun experience of finding a pumpkins that are/were growing. The rides were over priced and the pony ride was just super short for the price that you pay... The place was clean and looks fun, but the pony ride being over price for the time that your children get to ride and the rude girl that ran the pony ride was enough for me to leave a low star and a bad reveiw. They should put a time limit or let parents know what to expect before paying for the rides or play areas. I will be searching for a better place to take the kids this halloween season to have some fun and pick out pumpkins... (There was 2 younger girls at the pony ride and the lady not taking the money was nice enough to let the girls take pictures at the end of the ride, so one of them was nice but think ahe was just helping cause she was told how to walk the pony) Overall I wouldnt recommend this place as i am sure there are plenty of other places to go to and check out... dont be fooled by the looks of it cause it does look nice.. Hope this...
Read moreVery disappointed in our experience at Anoka County Farms. We arrived a little bit after 4pm and the staff were still getting things ready. There were nuts and bolts all over the main barn, a miter saw that my 2 year old daughter walked right into, and “workers” who were chasing animals around. The workers were just teenage boys, and when they caught the animals, we observed them throwing the animals into their pens. A duck was thrown and struggled to get upright for about a minute.
We bought a few extra tickets for the bigger attractions, but nobody was manning those stations. We ended up just turning those tickets back in. They did tell us to stick around for Pronto Pup food trucks and a free hay ride, but after an hour, it was still not ready.
For the price, it’s not bad. And I believe the farm has the potential to be a fun place for families, but our experience was lacking. They were not guest...
Read moreThis place is great!! It’s very reasonably priced compared to other fall farm attractions. Plenty to do for the kiddos, mine especially loved the corn pit, hamster wheel, and seeing the animals and baby chicks! They also enjoyed the pumpkin train ride, playing tic tac toe, and the giant slide! There was so much to do, we didn’t even get to everything that we wanted to as it was getting late. The barn is also huge and decorated super cool. All the cafe lights, Mighty Ducks flags and Stanley Cup are nice touches! The Charlie Brown movie was playing inside with nice large benches to sit. There are PLENTY of adorable photo ops, especially their new “LOVE” installation, soooo cute! I just love this adorable family farm. I can tell they put a lot of love, creativity, and hard work into running it. We will...
