The Elk Stop — Local services in Hamilton

Been stopping here for years, I travel Hwy 281 a couple times a week. It's normally pretty good, but they consistantly mess up the order so check it before you take it to-go. Ordered a double bacon cheese burger all the way no tomatoes and a double cheese burger all the way no onions. Got 2 strips of bacon on the bacon burger and correct veggies (although they were skimpy with them), and the cheese burger came out meat and cheese only. $30 for this order, we didn't buy...

Called 15 mins before they closed. I had to pee sooooooo bad. No other rest stops for another 15 miles. They know that. GPS said I could get there at 9:02. I asked if they would still be there to where I could use the bathroom. They said not unless I could get there before 9. Even though she mentioned they would still be there.. Rude. Will recommend all friends from chalk mountain trucking and Pam transport not to stop there anymore. Hospitality...

Friendly place and space for a good sit down any time of day w good made to order breakfast menu at a nice price. Food is hot and sodas on fountain w ice cream freezer perfect for custom floats w a pint(gotta make your own) even still the menu is very tasty. I like the wings so does my son. So we get them often.
