had armstrong for years (decade or more), they were alright at first but over the years they have gone wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy downhill. internet is out more than its on. their service is absolutely terrible, had multiple people out here to fix it but guess what? it goes out not even an hour later, or its "GeT a NeW cAbLe oR rOuTeR" meanwhile the cable is a new CAT8 (and we've also used a longer cat6; known good) and the router is a mesh wifi system capable of 3gbps. wanna know what our router is currently getting? 11mbps and a 40 ping. our devices frequently get 1-5mbps and we're paying for 300+ mbps. yes we have a new router, and its a mesh wifi, no its not the router, yes we've tested it, no its not the cable, yes we've tried new ones, same results. going to completely switch away from them soon because i litterally CANNOT WORK with the wifi so bad. and all i do is log in and print but when its sooooooo terrible you cant even print two pages of stuff, its time to switch. we already cut off cable and phone (cable was outrageous, kept upping the bill for no reason, was 250+ before we cut it for hulu and other streaming services)
i used to be able to play a multiplayer game from 2009, around 2016 i would get so many server errors (wifi) on the game 2019 i could no longer play the game because the internet was soooo spotty with them. got a new router and its back again to being spotty that i cant even open the game anymore, and again the game is from 2009 and hasnt changed since, yeah i got new computers since but after five or so minutes it kicks due to poor wifi. oh and dont even get me started on trying to download games. took DAYS to download baldurs gate 3 on a new laptop (~150+gb) (mid-high specs, enough to play on ultra with no issues other than cooking thighs as laptops do) on ETHERNET connected directly to the router, dont even bother with them anymore, the wifi goes out daily, or slows to a major crawl (isp to router)...
