I really wanted to enjoy my round here, but the experience fell short in several ways. The cart paths on the front 9 are in terrible condition. The grass is smoother than the paths, and that’s not an exaggeration. The on-course bathrooms are always extremely dirty, outdated, and home to mud daubers and spiders, which didn’t exactly make for a welcoming stop.
Things went downhill on the 12th hole when our cart ran out of gas/broke down. After a wait, we were brought a replacement cart that looked like it was decades old. The steering was so bad we were swerving all over the place, and that cart ended up breaking down twice on the very next hole (13). We called to let someone know, but it seemed the pro shop was closed and the kitchen ended up hanging up on us. Luckily, we managed to get the cart going again so we could finish our round.
To top it all off, on hole 18 the strap holding the golf bag snapped open. The clasp doesn’t actually lock, causing the bag to fall completely off the cart.
The course itself has potential, but the maintenance, equipment, and customer service need serious improvement before I could recommend...
Read moreUpfront, I am a golf enthusiast, and have golfed in several states and overseas. Therefore, I highly respect what it takes to manage and run a course.
I put out a friendly alert that you may want to caution yourself playing here. The locals who golf here are not friendly in welcoming new golfers...I was treated very rude both times I was there. The starter nit-picked me on 3 things that I watched regulars do. If you go there solo, don't expect to be welcomed.
In closing, you can take me at my word or criticize my assessment. The course is nice and I tip my hat to the ground crew. I enjoyed the course, but was obviously turned off by the rudeness. Before you misjudge me, I am an Army Retiree who has served in 3 Branches, and I know resiliency and...
Read moreMake sure your kids at least ten years old! You would think a golf course would want to promote young golfers. My son is six and has been golfing for one year now. He’s phenomenal, and I don’t say that because he’s mine. But because he didn’t have his own bag, he wasn’t able to golf. He does have his own clubs. The rule says under ten must have their own clubs and bag. Meanwhile, my six year old will out golf my twelve year old (who says golf is boring and for old people) any day. “Rules are rules, take it up with the owner.” We take him to courses all over the tristate area that are beyond excited to see a kid who loves golf the way he does. This place will obviously never get our business or the business of...
