Barton Park is a wonderful park. Tons of hidden trails. The water is cool and refreshing. I took my dogs here when it was nearly 80 degrees out. The dogs are old and need special care. I chose this park because walking through it is easy enough for my old dogs. Plus they also had a ton of fun, and even enjoyed hiding in the shade to keep cool. They take excellent care of this park. Keep your dogs leashed here. There is an entry fee, but it's cheap depending on your rig.

Easy to get in, plenty of parking - staff is friendly. Watch for the speed of the river at different times of year, which can greatly affect your float time! We went on May 13 and it took us about 90 min from Barton to Carver (can be up to a 4 hour float in slower water).

Lots of wide open spaces, several campgrounds and fishing opportunities. Hole along the river, picnic with family, or float to Carver park in the summertime. Tons of parking and bathrooms. Picnic tables and water fountains galore.

We adore this park. The fee is a little high. It has a nice play place, boat ramp, swimming/fishing areas, campgrounds, restrooms(closed) and picnic areas(also closed). I'd give it a 5, but when you have children who need to use the restroom and wait until the last possible minute to tell you they have to go NOW, and you drive to the restrooms only for them to be closed, it's...

Great place to drop in and float down. I have only had good experience with the staff I've seen here too. Left my Jeep down at carver while we floated from barton and when we got to carver the gates were closing but staff stood there for 20 minutes!! Holding the gate open for our friend to be able to come and pick us up with the other vehicle....
