Brown's Market Place — Local services in Harbor Beach

We liked this one the best of the local grocery stores. Pretty good selection for a small town store. Really wide range of alcohol, the produce and meat we bought were all fresh, they offer up to 50 cash back and don't charge a fee to use your card, the service was friendly both times we went. The fresh baked brownies with coconut are tasty. Little bit pricey but that's to be expected and some of the basics like the cereal were a lot better priced than the other local grocery store. Everytime we have been here we have been either charged for something that was the persons before (propane, as etc) left in register. Just returned from what is atleast the 10th time going to this store to be overcharged. This time for both items i purchased this time. One of the items was a bag of chips although marked down i realized when i got home they are over a YEAR past there best buy date, no surprise at all they were terrible. I can't believe you are selling something almost 15 months past date.

Will not be returning at all. Will drive to bad axe or shop...

I've lived in harbor beach for 8 years and out of them years this store has bad vegetables and produce. Everything is pricy there.the worst this is they steal your money from you. They say there money goes back on there gas card well they lied this would be the 2nd time this happend rl me at this store.and the only thing the owner says is we didn't. 10 dollars this time and last time was about the same amount. The only good thing about this store is the employees...
