Summersweet Garden Nursery (at Perennial Pleasures) — Local services in Hardwick

The Tea Garden @ Summersweet gardens is worth whatever distance you need to drive to get there, do note - reservations are required and online booking are simple to do. We were very impressed with the selection of teas, the cucumber sandwiches and scones, strawberry preserves and fresh whipped cream. I had mentioned in the comments of the reservation that I have a strawberry allergy and was impressed when our server mentioned it, before taking our order, and brought out raspberry preserves for me. The only miss, I felt, was in not serving a local honey with the tea - that brought my rating from a 5 to a 4. The grounds are lovely with incredible plants, spots to sit and a few hidden gems. It's rather like falling down the rabbit hole and finding yourself in a garden wonderland. Definitely worth...

My fiancé and I went to Summersweet for afternoon tea and it was splendid. The tea was great with tasty sandwiches, scones, and sweets. Plus, endless refills of tea and seconds of all the food!! Not only was the afternoon tea top tier, but the setting was so relaxing and beautiful. After our tea, we took some time to explore the gardens and felt so refreshed on our drive home. We will definitely be back again for tea...
