My review of this location and these specific employees 10/10, great people, friendly, and very helpful with the whole process.
The Company - PODS as a whole, not so much... the employees at this site saved my skin from the company which failed to properly help me: I ordered a POD to transport things across part of the country, some 500+ miles. The ordering process was done over the phone wherein the following day we had our container delivered. A couple ofdays later, they pick it up and ship it to my destination. Come re-delivery day and only just now was I learning that I should have had a permit with my town for them to drop off the POD due to a lack of adequate parking. While I understand the need for the permit, the least PODS could have done was inform me of this extra step I needed for my multi thousand dollar transaction I was about to contract them for. Apparently, my town was notoriously difficult for them to deliver to so sales could have conveyed this information to me. Several hours later, a moving truck rented from another moving company, and I'm repacking my POD into the moving truck to haul it myself on such short notice, after all I was paying by the day for them to basically hold my stuff for me, with no reasonable delivery schedule attainable. So why 5 stars? This location's driver, who is not at fault for the lack of conveying all the information of the transaction, was very happy to explain the real issue with the lack of permit thoughtfully. The guy behind the counter when picking up the POD contents was also quite helpful. At least 2 people that work for PODS cared enough to actually clue me in. Too bad it wasn't the salesman who sold me the contract in the first place. Sales: 1/10. The fantastic guys who work here specifically, 10/10. So, reader, my advice to you, check with your town before you sign the potentially multi thousand dollar contract whether or not they require additional permits to proceed with the transaction. And yes, PODS did refund my re-delivery fee, no questions asked after I explained the situation to them over the phone. I would not use pods again based on my experience, but if you would contract them, use this location because they are...
Read moreHad a 16' pod scheduled to be delivered july 18th. I scheduled it 3 weeks in advance. I was notified by text the day before it would arrive between 9 am-12 pm on the 18th. Got a call at 12:48 from Christina apologizing because the company had an undisclosed problem and they would have to reschedule for 4 days later ! 45 minutes after thier 4 hour window i get this call! Christina claimed this was the earliest. I had all things prepared and ready for this 16' container to be moved. I did not expect to have to move all this stuff again. I was livid and she said there is nothing I could do but said I could speak with a resolution team associate. I asked for that number she said there isnt a number they would get back to me within 3-4 business days! After much complaining she thinks she could get me a container by tuesday. THINKS .....so I would find out later in the day and forfiet any possibility of thursday. I said how do I know if itll come Tuesday she said theyll let me know. So what happens if it wont happen she said they reschedule for a later date! I need it asap. She said shell schedule for thursday then! Pods is unreliable and should be scheduled only if you do not truly need a specific day. They have no policy in place to work with their customers and nonchalantly reneg on their promise with no more than an im sorry. Stay away from this company totally unreliable and do not care about thier customers convenience or...
Read moreWe used pods from April to November for our buy/sale. It was the worst 8 months of dealing with them Iâve ever had. Sooo many things to complain about but the biggest was their horrible customer service reps. They have no accountability. No supervisor or managers exist so itâs no wonder. They just put you back in the automatic message loop if they donât know how to help you and then you get to start all over. The other big issue was their refusal to move our pods to our new location. Their âless than 50 milesâ means from their depot, not from your first to second location. We moved 33 miles and they refused to just bring our stuff to our new location. Instead they hauled our THREE pods all the way to their depot in Franklin WHICH TOOK A WEEK and then CHARGED US HUNDREDS of dollars to do so! THEN they refused to pick up the last pod when they were empty. They actually told us they had picked it up already. I said, well, I have a big container i my driveway labeled PODs so you didnât pick it up. Took a MONTH to get them to finally pick it up. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST experience Iâve ever had with a company. You are better off renting a uHaul because when PODS is done with you, you will have overpaid big time and still wonât have your belongings. Avoid them...
