One year ago we made the mistake of taking our beef calves there. We normally use Russell meat packing but some things came up and unfortunately we couldn’t. This place used to be amazing not anymore since the new ownership. Last year every single calf we took (5 I think) was short on beef half the bags where not sealed the cuts where pathetic they did a very poor job and they wouldn’t even correct the issue. This year however we went to Russell meat packing as usual and they did fabulously as usual. I was excited to patronize a local meat processor. At my grocery store, there was a package of their frozen meat. Their processing date was 12-18-2023. I didn't notice until I got home, but the sell by date stamped by the store was 4-29-2024. Today is 6-14-2024, when I bought it. An employee told me since it was frozen, it would be fine. I went ahead and cooked it. Horrible, tasteless. I threw the majority out. I will be having a talk with the store manager...

Great people. Work is done well. Quality on all aspects as far as I am concerned. Many folks do not understand the pressure and strain processing and butchery takes to get done, especially done right, on a tight deadline. And these folks deliver that - every single week.
