I wanted a small countertop for a bar. I knew the space would be challenging so I wanted to make sure they took their own measurements because I knew mine would not be as accurate as theirs were. They sent someone out and took measurements. When the install crew came, they knew it would not fit. They then proceed to try to put the countertop in place when it clearly would not fit damaging my walls and trim in the process. In order to get this installed they would have to cut the stone onsite. They did not tell me how much of a mess it would make with all of the dust. It got installed but it was a completely stressful situation because instead of arriving in the morning they waited until the entire end of the day to install. I called the salesperson I dealt with and explained the situation. He passed me off to the project manager who came out to take a look at the damage. They said they would completely fix it and would be sending out a separate contractor to do all of the repairs. It took a few days before that guy called me and he said he would need to look at it first and would schedule an appointment. It was two weeks before I called Armina back stating that company hadn’t fixed it yet. When the guy finally did come to look at it he said he would only fix the wooden trim and drywall. He was told to not do any painting touch ups. When I called Armina back asking who would do the painting work they said it was my responsibility. I asked why and they said I agreed to do the painting when their contractor would not. My argument was I never agreed to that I simple didn’t argue with their contractor because I didn’t hire them. I hired Armina. Armina even had the nerve to say well that contractor gave you his discount code to buy paint. I told them it’s ridiculous to have their installers damage my walls and trim and be expected to paint their mistake. The PM told me he would call me back. It’s been two weeks. I had heard great things about Armina but my case wasn’t so. It wasn’t a big job for them but I expected them to install it properly when they took the measurements. It’s annoying I now have to go buy paint, brushes and spend time fixing something I paid for to be installed correctly. Hopefully those that spend more have better experiences.

If I could give Armina zero stars, I would. This company seemed to have gone out of its way to destroy our kitchen, waste our time and money, and maximize our misery. We picked out a gorgeous slab for our countertops that, after paying the balance in full, somehow mysteriously broke two days before our installation daye. They couldn’t be bothered to check their stock was actually retail ready, I suppose. We got a call to come in to choose a new slab (which, fine, they had many beautiful options) and they promised to expedite the cutting process and honor the original schedule. But no, they lied and didn’t cut the stone. So we rescheduled thinking this would be it, but again their incompetence prevailed: they failed to cut the large countertop piece to fit in our elevator. They KNEW they had to cut the stone to fit and just didn’t. Their templater took measurements to do just that! So we had to wait for another install date. All of these delays resulted in a delay in installing the backsplash, which meant we couldn’t use the kitchen for yet another week. After the installation was finally complete we realized the dishwasher was out of alignment and bits of cabinetry were sticking out (see the photos). Armina broke our cabinets. I couldn’t possibly recommend this garbage company any less. They have gorgeous stones but zero competence at managing projects or installation. I guess you could chose them if you want to extend your renovation dates by weeks, spend stupid money on eating out, and have your cabinets broken.

We had our countertops installed on 2/8/22, they were going to have to set the island at a later date because the company I bought my cabinets from damaged the island. Turns out the corner section of the granite counter was broken so they had to get a new piece and to put in when doing the island. I was at work during the install. My husband said the installers were top notch. Now starts the problems. As soon as I got home, I took one look at the island and it was NOT the granite I chose. I contacted them and sent pictures. Chuck admitted they were different slabs and offered money back. I told him I would prefer it to be replaced if they still had my slab. He called me the following Monday to say my slab broke and I should’ve been notified, “he’s sorry I wasn’t.” I asked about getting money back then and was told he’d have to see. We called back again to see if we could get a piece closer to our original selection and were not given an answer. Today we were told replacing it is not an option and still no word on money back. Very disappointed that I did not get what I paid for or the option to select the replacement. The one installed has too many black speckles for my taste and not enough taupe, so it might not go with the backsplash that I already purchased- based off the granite I thought I was getting. My dream kitchen has turned into a nightmare. I would’ve bought from Home Depot if I wanted someone else to choose my slab.

I can write a bestseller about how horrendous this company is but I am sure your time is valuable so I'll stick with the highlights.

We ordered our countertops from Ikea who uses Armina Stone as their fabricator and installer.

  1. Got a call two days before scheduled install that they broke our countertops during fabrication and that we had to wait another week maybe two (on top of the 4 - 5 weeks we've been already waiting). There was no offer for a discount. We had the option for a full refund but they already knew that lead times for all other fabricators in the area is 4 - 6 weeks so they knew they got us by the ....you know what! We also found out that the countertops we ordered in November were used for a different order and they broke the replacement!!

  2. We were forced to pick something completely different from their inventory because we just couldn't wait any longer. After install, i double checked the square footage based on THEIR measurements and found out we were over charged a little over 4 SF. It was pulling teeth to get them to admit to it and walk me through their math. Again, let me stress, I was using THEIR measurements. Apparently they "round" and do the math "manually" and they didn't seem to know geometry like the area of a triangle. Of course they refused to give us a refund stating we got better countertops AFTER they agreed I should be getting a refund! Mind you, we didn't take advantage of the situation, although you can argue after what they put us through we are entitled. We didn't go for the most expensive in their inventory. We picked a lower end MSI countertop that's probably lower quality than or same as the ikea one they broke which was from Caesarstone. Here is the thing, when they did the template, they called and had me go to Ikea to pay for additional sequare footage. Thinking I am dealing with a reputable company (Ikea) I paid right away to avoid any delays because they kept saying their install days are 4 to 5 weeks out and every day we wait it gets pushed. I was also promised full refund if we over pay. After I paid, I got the template in my email and noticed I overpaid but trusted them to refund me the difference after install. Then they screwed us at the 11th hour and now they say that we got better countertops! If that's not theft, fraud, and a scam, i don't know what is. They put us in this mess then they act like they are doing us a favor. They also seemed to intentionally inflate the square footage preying on people to not sit there and verify their numbers. So don't trust what they tell you. Verify the measurements!

Even if our countertops didn't break and we didn't have to pick from their inventory, I doubt they had any intention to refund the difference. i say this because the measurements on their template showed the discrepancy. in addition, they are not transparent with the total square footage you need. They put the burden on you as a customer to do that math. Moreover, their employee insisted that i received the full square footage. It wasn't until i demanded they show me the math, that they admitted I was over charged. Their employee even took my credit card info telling me "the refund will be processed today" but it never came. Instead the story changed again!

Another interesting thing I noticed is that they never respond to emails. It's like they don't want to have anything documented. Smart move for a scammer!

Long story short, they ruined our once in a lifetime kitchen remodel and stole our money!

On a side note, while we were at their warehouse picking a replacement, we asked if they had Ikea countertops in stock. The sales guy walked us outside and pointed at a pile of slabs telling us those were Ikea's! So basically they treat Ikea slabs like trash. Exposing them to the elements and piling them! hmmm, i wonder how they broke our countertop!

Update 1/20/2021: I received the refund from Armina Stone for the square footage difference after posting...

Botched several components to kitchen counter installation. After two days of leaving messages, I had to beg receptionist to track down my contact to speak with a human. After many frustrating conversations, they explained that they were coming out to finish the job on two separate days and the last visit would be 14 days out from the last time they were here. I said that was unacceptable. They said they could not get here any sooner because business was booming. The job is not finished yet so we'll see of they botch up something else and need two more weeks to fix that. Maybe it will just go on forever. I told them that I had more counter renovations that were coming up in the near future (next month) and that I was now having second thoughts about using them. They replied, "Well, no one is forcing you to use us in the future." So there you have it. When business goes up I guess customer service goes way down. Moral of this story: find businesses that value you as a customer. Armina is not one of them; they're too busy. UPDATE: Today was the day, ten days after their last visit, to finish everything they had botched up. Unfortunately, the backsplash was never recut; they simply had a new team bring back the old backsplash that didn't fit. The waterfall was recut twice and still does not fit. The installers did not even know they were supposed to smooth the botched seam and said they never do and weren't qualified. So I wait almost two weeks for them to come back and everything is still the wrong size or hasn't even been recut. I was beyond frustrated and when I called Armina I was told my contact at was on vacation until next Wednesday. I went ballistic and hung up. Twenty minutes later, I got a call from someone who I assume contacted the Operations Manager who called shortly after that and said he would make sure it gets taken care of next week which means I have to set aside three more days for Armina people to come through. Fine. After all that has happened I have zero trust in this company and zero faith that it will actually get done next week. Stay tuned.

As for the owner's response: perhaps, instead of checking the "database" for issues, he may want to engage his team to see if there are any issues. I have spoken repeatedly to at least four people about these issues, including the Operations Manager today 5/28. They surely know who I am. The project is under another name which is the other co-owner of the house. I tell them every time what name the project is under as well as my name and that they are different. I'd be happy to publish specific names of people in the Armina office and dates when I spoke to them as well as photos of the unfinished areas. And the fact that he seems to be more interested in reporting me as a fake review rather than talk to his team first and give me a call speaks volumes about how the business must be run. I see he reported my review as fake around seven hours ago which was also the time his workers were at my house telling me everything still doesn't fit. The last thing I want to do is waste even more time writing this. I wonder if he thinks the $13K we paid through Home Depot is fake. I...
