Harmony IGA — Local services in Harmony

This small town grocery store was clean and tidy. Two cashiers greeted and welcomed me as I walked in. I was drawn like a magnet to the discounted pies displayed right inside the front doors, just like every customer that entered. A pleasant man was stocking the small produce area, The fruits and veggies were attractively displayed, and some items were marked down for quick sale. A butcher was stocking fresh meat in the back. He moved aside to let me look. I enjoyed browsing and found many unique brands of items that are not offered at larger chain stores, including locally baked goods, snacks, bottled drinks, dairy items, canned and packaged goods. My basket quickly became too heavy, so I had to return to the front for a cart. The two cashiers who were working as a team, as well as another customer, offered help. We joked about my overflowing basket. They do not sell greeting cards or stamps, but the friendly lady who bagged my groceries was very helpful with directions to the post office and to another store that sells cards. What a pleasant experience for an out of towner! I left with 7 bags of groceries and a smile...

This small town IGA grocery store is a great place to get most of your grocery store items. I found this store to be well-maintained, clean, and stocked and laid out characteristically to what you'd expect in a small town grocery store. I felt comfortable here. The employees here were friendly and helpful, but somewhat subdued, probably because they were not busy at all at that moment. The prices were slightly higher than what you'd expect to see in a large grocery store, but that's understandable and doesn't detract from its convenience. On this particular visit, they happened to not have celery. I asked about it and was told that they just happened to be out of it at that moment. I was happy to shop here and recommend this...

This place is definitely better stocked than previous owner but these guys are always messing with the prices. Got into it with someone again at register about posted price against what they charged. You better watch your receipts there cause they run it like a convence store and will raise prices and take your money! Difference on what I bought was .20 each thing and they don’t care about your money so watch out! Happened to a family member of mine too so this is how they do....
