Very decent nice little park except for the fact that some genius wrote on a piece of loose leaf paper that got wet and was folded shut for no one to read except for me after it was too late warning that the bacterial levels were extremely high and unsafe for humans according to Ohio code and you should refrain from getting the water on your hands or persons and thanks to their negligence I was fishing getting it all over me and washing my hands in the water other people were out in kayaks and getting water all over themselves and some were even swimming in it well done what a joke who runs this clown show next time you should probably make the sign a little bigger and maybe not use loose leaf paper that can get rained on without folding over or whatever you got to do because no one obviously seen it including myself till it was too late...
Read moreThis is a fishing park and that's about it. We visit often simply because it's a close area to fish. Personally, I only do ok fishing here. I have caught a decent amount of little bluegill there and a couple of little bass. Now I know I've heard of others catching some larger bass, northern pike, and catfish. As often as I go, I've yet to see anything too exciting come out of there though. Due to erosion, the lakes and the river are connected now so you do need a fishing license to fish here. It can be a bit crowded but if you come at the right time, you can secure a shady spot. I've also seen several people take fishing kayaks and little rowboats out. It's really beautiful there at sunset. You could hike around the lakes but it really isn't that kinda park. You'd be better off hiking...
Read morePretty decent place. We were able to make it to 3 of the lakes. High grass and lots of ticks though. So far we have found 2 but are still looking. We did sprat ourselves with family care off so I suggest something with a bit more deet? There is a geocache there too. Dogs allowed on 6 ft leash. They did have 1 port-o-let by the parking. We did see some people kayaking. We caught quite a number of smaller fish (bluegill, etc). We did catch one small mouth bass but it was just a hair too small to keep. If you need bait, the marathon by 74 sells some. I'd suggest hats, keep your hair up, use some bug/tick spray, sunscreen, and sunglasses. We were there about 5-6hrs and saw two different but very nice park Rangers too. It was nice to see that they were...
